Luke Brooks - Mega Thread

Like I said before, Im amazed Luke hasn't been given some time in reserve grade since his debut, its unbelievable that at certain stages he hasn't at the very least been given the opportunity to line up against the level below and remind himself he's first grade standard and what it feels like to control the game and actually be the dominant half in the match.
Because right now, its as if he's forgotten or never knew

There’s a very simple reason..he was our best player last season. He and Laurie.

He plays like a player who never properly learned his trade in reserve grade that's for sure

Luke will be far better this year without the glory hunters alongside of him...the other partners he has had have been overated or inexperienced...he has the opportunity to show his best THIS YEAR...and if he doesnt then you will be justified in your calculations....

and from reading your observation I doubt you have walked 10 feet in Lukes shoes if any....

What about all of last season where Luke himself said it was 'HIS' team. He was borderline pathetic in attack and went missing on every big moment. He'd be a solid running 5/8 support player. A halfback to run your team, he is definitely not

Hang on,didnt Brooks win Dally M award for best halfback a couple of seasons ago I dont know but he must have had some ability to play at NRL level ....

The award should be renamed. It wasn’t an award for best half in the comp, more so half who was more outstanding in his team, which makes Brooks’ achievement all the more credible.

Hang on, wasn't that when Robbie and Benji were there apparently overcalling poor little Lukey and ruining his career according to your earlier post?

Fact is Brooks is a support act player. (A decent one in my opinion) When he's had to be the main man, he's beyond average
 
I’m not a group dynamics expert, but listen in all you anti Brooks posters 😁
Within a group of people which has a common goal, there may be at least one or more who have a stronger than average influence over the groups success toward that objective.
But seriously guys, I need more convincing, when you say things like..”Brooks is not a leader”
How can a “non leader” have so much influence over the team’s results?
I’m also having trouble understanding how we would be better if we got rid of our best player? Laurie or Brooksy?

Ive got no problem with that if/when there is someone better to take his place. Before this year there simply hasnt been anyone.
