He was certainly the greatest spin bowler of all time with daylight 2nd

His tactical genius, how to read a game and knowing how to dismiss top batsman set him apart from any spin bowler of his era. Stuart Macgill who himself was a world class leg spin bowler was unlucky Warne was on the scene. Although he didn't have the freakish accuracy of Warne, he was a huge turner of the leg spin delivery and also had a great wrong un.

I think he still holds the record for highest average (above a certain min runs) and highest amount of runs scored without a century.

Just saw his manager interviewed. Apparently he had gotten to Thailand the day before. Had a travel companion with him who knocked on his door at 5.15 Thailand time to go to dinner. Shane was supposed to be leaving at 5. And his travel buddy knocked on his door and he was in his room unresponsive.

He got caught when he was on 99, replays later showed it was a no-ball.
