Madden has some talent, is 22 & during covid it wouldn't have been easy on restricted game time development wise. He needs gametime.
Madge showed his hand with Simpkin, Stefano, Kelma, Tuki, Blore, Laurie and co previously. So why hold back on Madden now if he is our future picture.
If he plays the next 3 weeks (pending injury) then I can see he is in our long term plans, if not & Madge goes for Peachey then I doubt he would be viewed longterm & if I was him would look at options with other clubs.

Euan Aitkin granted an early release from the Warriors for 2023. Could plug a hole in the centres.

I have a feeling Madge will play Peachey at 6 and bring in Mikaele or seyfarth and stick with simpkin on bench
This year I think we need liddle and simpkin constantly changing from dummy half to give us some attack from that space to have any chance
He'd walk into our top 17.

difference would be was he with the rest of the nrl360 crew or just on his own?
As someone said earlier if JTJ is a mentor to some of the indigenous guys and he suggests let's have a slap on the pokies, it's not the end of the world just not a great look that's all
I would go hard for him as he is killing it in the back row and can cover center..

I actually liked his form 2yrs ago, he would be a walk up starter for us.

He didn’t. The reason why he requested a release is because he doesn’t want to go across the ditch.
I agree that the tigers really need a hard tackling centre. Surely we can improve on the centre pairing we currently have.

Nah, the narrative will be Brooks was given 9 years so there’s no reason to give it to Madden. I believe that’s cutting your nose off to spite your face.

Our team is weak, it needs a half to stand up and have a crack, if Brooks is in his shell Madden has at least shown he'll have a go. Hopefully he hasn't succumbed to the same lack of enthusiasm that has engulfed much of the squad.
He's kind of playing for his NRL future and it's about time he gets a shot. If he does well it will make things interesting when hastings and Doueihi come back. Fox promoting him as the 'rookie to watch' this week.

Wow that's surprising. I thought it was a masterstroke to have him in the backrow. He has a fantastic hit up in him, early offload and a good defender. He's a horrible centre because he completely starves his winger and can't put the winger away to save his life.
I'd look at him for the edge or a No.16 position. He's better than Garner IMO.
