Are we now at the stage

where apathy is so ingrained that as supporters we've taken a laissez-faire approach, like "let's see what they dish up next" with no real expectations, a lack of motivation or even a general lack of care? Some may even argue this has been brewing for some time (since 2005?) but the absence of any feeling or emotion (other than negative) is almost palpable this year, even more so than previous years. Is it because of 3 consecutive losses? I think the latter is just the symptom of a much bigger cause.

I think it is because the club has tried to improve over the offseason and has now proven over 3 rounds that bugger all has changed.
Rd1 - couldn’t go with the Storm when they stepped it up, ran out of puff in the middle.
Rd2 - didn’t show up, didn’t try. Despicable effort.
Rd3 - couldn’t close out the win when it was offered on a silver plate by a naked supermodel.

We have shown glimpses of improvement and attitude in defence in games 1 & 3. We have shown glimpses of improved attack in those same games. We have not shown an 80 minute game and that has aided with the 0-3 start

I still hurt with the losses but have accepted it isn't going to get better this year unless there is divine intervention. It's just so depressing to think you've waited all summer to see improvement and there is diddly squat with some.

You pose some excellent questions, Tiger Heart. My response is definitely yes - we are ingrained to feel disappointment. If this was Madge's first year in charge I would be more hopeful. The players do look like they are competing hard, Brooks did some good things last night and there appears to be a bit more spark down our left edge in attack. If Luc's try is awarded and/or Laurie catches the ball over the line we win the game, and there is a different narrative here this morning. The reality is it is hard to hold onto this positivity when we have been disappointed for so long. Another reality is that if we lose the next two or three games I think everyone knows Madge will be gone. I like his passion for the job, but we desperately need a coach who can take these players forward and start winning games.

By not being apathetic what good will it do?
Do we as fans have any power that could effect change?

Sad, but I get it.
Krammy, elite players don't need coaching, they just need a game plan and make sure the 'team' gels.
Against Newy I agree we didn't gel but against the Warriors we created chances and worked hard.
We simply run out of troops, Stef, Joffa etc injured and we ended up with too many chief and not enough Indians, all of which imo is not Madge's fault.
Don't you think people are too hasty to give up at this point.
I was proud the way they played with passion yesterday.
Some of the boys are coming good.
We still don't have elite players, give our boys your support.
🤜🤛

You have to remember, that warriors side will compete for the spoon this year and we had them a man down at the back end of the game. Should have won.

There's no denying that, are u aware that Daine apparently lost a contact lense, we bombed tries but were able to get ourselves into those positions, refs admit they got the no try wrong.
It's 3 rounds in and that was not our top side.
One of the finalists from last year lost more than 3 of their first games.
A lot of excuses but I'm proud of them but also disappointed too.
Not going to abandon the team.
I've being following them for too long.
As I said, elite players don't need coaching.
Yes we're failing, but we need troops and they will come.
Not convinced sheens will let us go into 2023 with the same roster.
If we make the finals next year, my support will be the same as it is now, never have changed and never will.
