Madge wants its, Sheens wants it, Adam wants it.
They've all said as much.

Our best player last year, nothings blocking that return.

Madge is the only one on record as saying that, I believe? So you gotta back that up as I’m pretty sure Adam will be our long-term captain without needed the added pressure of 6 coming back from several long term injuries that have clearly affected his strongest skill = running game. Needs time and patience, of course, no doubt he has self confidence!

I would say Stef was our best player and Laurie a close second based on his ceiling. Look how things have changed?

I would consider brooks at Fullback first , got safe hands and can motor , may not be as dumb as some may think , Laurie on the bench to cover , Fullback , 5/8, Centre ,

go buy a prop and back rower
I think Starford and The Pom will,be ok in the centres with more experience now for next year , I think the pair will both come good , they looked ok last weekend

They offload Thompsons deal and we are paying some of Brook's deal there so instead of them having all of his they will only have 300k of Brook's deal is what I'm hearing

Thats ridiculous - in effect if that were to happen we would be paying around 1.4million for Thompson.

Idk. He’s never played hooker in his life to my knowledge. Probably a bit late in his career for it to be a success. Wouldn’t be against seeing him given a go though. He needs something to refresh him.

I have to say i agree with that no way we take on the majority of Brooks contract and the entirety of Thompsons. We are stupid and do dumb things but that doesnt even pass the pub test. I think we would be open to letting Brooks go i think he may have gone had AD not been injured.
In hindsight things wouldnt have been any worse with Madden and Hastings with AD in the mix later on.

As Garry pointed to in the podcast. Brooks put that try on a plate for Laurie, if he catches the ball and scores, that would make Brooks the best player on the park.
If Brooks had a Nanai chasing his kicks you would probably be singing his praises.
I don’t doubt you heard what you heard but it was probably something that came up during a brainstorming session. It’s not a realistic option.

Just looked it up myself. He was 27 and went on to play SOO and Tests as a hooker.

It would be a mistake for Brooks personally to go to the dogs. He needs to go to a club with an established culture. Would just be repeating his time here.

What they are building is a quality list with current and future rep players. That’s what he doesn’t have here.
