SMH article from last year - Sutton's Muckups

Most likely has a boys club going on, quite clearly, has used this poor bloke's accent to cover up several blunders by notable referees, and in the workplace generally making other decent refs that may not have an agenda uncomfortable - was actually put onto this article via my searches to find out what exactly has happened to the quality of refereeing since some of the new rules had been introduced, and they went back to solo work.

The bunker quite clearly know what their objective is in the context of game-changing situations such as last night and that is to pause, take a deep breath and try to objectively slow down (IMMEDIATELY) the entire play through communications with field officials and covers things like injuries, foul play, and of course, the most important thing in this game we used to love: TRY’s and spectacular efforts.

What on earth could have caused THOSE muppets to compound such a bad decision not to review a single grubber by then allowing play to fully continue and restart at the 20m line? Did Luch not sell it enough?

They clearly did not do their job and also makes it obvious that 3 blokes plus possibly touch judges in charge of our game do not exercise any duty of care - as in my South’s game example - during key moments that have quite possibly over the years cost us at least a single thirst quenching fourth semi finals appearance?

It’s more than just a boys club when you factor in all of the above information. This NEVER, ever happens to a glamour club. This cannot be swept under a rug as usual, Peter V'landys…

Not in the mood to read the article, but last night's process was a disgrace.

Almost certainly costing WT the win and salvaging our start to the season.

No way! How dare they accuse Sutton of victimisation, discrimination and agendas. That is almost as ridiculous as saying the Burgess brothers are not role models. Hopefully Bernard's brothers are retired soon to join him at the knackery, or would that be nepotism?

I was really hoping someone would contribute the above, it’s almost farcical… I keep thinking back to Latrell deliberately and FORCEFULLY elbowing Nofa in the throat 2 years ago, without there being any form of consequence (unlike Mitch Barnett over the weekend) - cost us the game and should’ve been an instant sin bin when it was an obvious professional foul and played Garner’s legs after he had already clearly scored.

Also remember that Klein dud call that cost us wins against Penrith, and I believe Newcastle? Both same year - I’ll say it again: who’s to suggest we wouldn’t have made finals again by now?

Thanks NRL
