😂. I was sort of keen on Harris Tevita as well but I thought he was real ordinary on Friday. There just aren’t many good halfbacks around and I believe we would have a chance in signing Williams

Williams is a classic example of a player who ripped it up in the ESL but could not hack it in the NRL. Never stood out at all.

It takes a real special player to be able to come over and adapt and make an impact in the NRL. It’s a pretty short list. Burgess, Morley, Ellis, Farnworth, that’s really it in the modern era.
I thought he was one of the better halves in the comp when he played. Good running, kicking and passing game. He did have a strong forward pack behind him though. He enjoyed more success in oz than the Tigers did during that time
He was a lot better than Brooks when he was here.
We’ve had a terrible decade but one of the most disappointing parts of it is Brooks not kicking on. I was so excited by him in the early years but sadly it just hasn’t worked out

Hastings looks the goods at 7..add.....Douhi at 6 plus a back up then ok
Need a real fullback..plus several forwards that go forward
Hastings plays like a forward.
He takes the 4th tackle hit up through the teeth to complete the set. It’s what you want your lock to be doing to give time for the halves to get in position and get set for a kick.
However he is a half at this stage and by doing that all the focus of the next play is on Brooks and he begins that play under pressure.
I’m not convinced he’ll stay a half. I’ve seen him kick twice in his first two games.
I think the stage is set for Doeuihi to return to 6. Hopefully he has been working on his own kicking game and his understanding of the numbers around him.

Madden is a good back up plus Camroux and potentially Tannous coming through.
These guys all have more scope for improvement than Brooks. I wish it would have worked out with Brooks but his confidence is shot and it’s best for both parties to move on.

Agree, need to improve lock, hooker (Api coming, so should solve that issue), centre, fullback, and second row before the halves IMO.
