Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Manly Sea Eagles boss Stephen Humphreys has mysteriously stepped down from his chief executive role at the club.

The Daily Telegraph can reveal the Sea Eagles board met on Thursday night over an issue that has led to his departure.

What's Humphreys son Jamie like?
Stephen was a pretty good winger and fullback for balmain in the 80's an became weststigers CEO.
He was at war with the board over factions from the joint venture between wests and balmain and left WT for manly
Do we really want him back??

That will do nothing but buy the players another 2-3 years of being able to use the excuse of getting settled in under a new coach. We need to offload our lazy players first and replace them with hard workers. Look at Aiden Tolman, he's used as a running joke by most fans but he still gets picked every week in a very strong Sharks pack. It's a fair bet to say he is a great trainer and committed to giving his all on game day. Those sort of players are worth more to a club than a super talented guy with a huge ego who only puts in when he feels like it.

Madge cant coach attack or select teams.

Enough is enough

For me Drinkwater is an a astute 2 year buy. He is a goal kicker that covers both 5/8 and fullback and just remember he was chosen first in front of Pappy pending injury
He plays eyes up footy and would put pressure on Laurie at fullback "jury is out there" and for me would complement Hastings at 7
If played in the front line would need to improve his D though or put him along side Papalii it doing wonders for Mitch Moses

I was talking about his son Jamie who plays for Manly. Has to be awkward for him at Manly now.

As far as selecting the team goes: who would you drop and what player would you replace them with from our current available KOE players? Interested to know because apart from To'a and maybe Mikaele, we have nothing worth promoting unfortunately.

His continued reliance on Brooks. To'a did not deserve to be dropped last week. His bench rotations are appalling

Anyone for gildart.

Luchiano crap in attack

Not use players for 4 minutes on bench rotation.

I don't believe it matters who we sign unless there is a change of coach. With Sheens in situ the argument about disruption is non-existent. With Sheens in situ, there is the option of an experienced coach or, hiring a younger coach with Sheens providing a sounding board.

Wouldn't mind that but it won't happen.
Newcastle would be more than happy with the combination of Clune and Clifford at the moment.
I think so too. Clune has surprised and I dont think they are just blowing smoke. I really think they would consider other options now if required.
The swap that might end up may be straight Aiken for Barnett.

???? Luciano is our biggest attacking threat.

Gildart needs to learn when to pass a bit earlier to his winger instead of jamming himself up against the sideline and trying to flick miracle balls. He creates opportunities, just can't capitalise on them.
The under-use of Seyfarth last night was criminal for sure.

Just don't be surprised when once the coach is changed we are still getting the same crap results. Good players make coaches look good, we don't have more than 2 or 3 at most.

What do you think of Johnny Morris under Sheens?
