Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Just had a look on Zero Tackle to see who's off contract for next year. Not very much to choose from at all.
Farnworth would be the priority target you'd hope. Hamlin-Uale would be a decent bench prop. Taylen May looks to have a bit of talent, he won't leave the Inbreds though. We are stuck with what we've got for another year unless something drastic happens.
Plenty of young players that aren’t household names looking for opportunities. Need more Josh Feledy type signings.

I reckon we steer clear of signing too many more youngsters for a while. All we keep hearing is "such and such is a good player, player of the future.....should be ready for 2025". We need to bolster the squad ASAP with battle-hardened proven performers. They don't have to be stand-out superstars, just committed professionals who do their job well every week.
These young kids that might be good players in 4 or 5 years, they can easily turn out to be duds and all that time waiting is for nothing. We've had a tonne of those sort of scenarios play out at our club in the last 20 years.

Yea u could b right. We have lost alot of Good young players.its a lottery tho to which ones kick on or adapt to coaching styles to their type of talent

Both have been here since forever and previously - If they couldn't help then, Not much chance of them helping now...

I don't want Benji coaching halves... 20 years in the game and he never bothered to learn to play it.
Personally think Benji needs to walk away from footy...

Media wise or other.

Agreed..that’s why Iam not to fussed at missing Nanni. He is a kid with tons of potential , but we need the real deal and a few of them. Parra when they recruited last time, focused on hard quality footballers and it is working. They are now in a position to introduce a kid or two because they have the players around them

Still need to have young players coming through. We have very little experienced players, but we also don’t have any depth because we don’t have enough quality 20-22 year olds ready to step up.

We need to address both.

Its definitely hard at times to be a supporter, but besides the newcastle game have played ok. As frustrating as it is knowing we could be technically 3-1, hopefully something clicks and they manage a win against a red hot sharks and build some confidence

Look at the way the nrl is run, V’landys best mate with fox, Brisbane and other team get media bias. V’landys and his rubbish new rules and ref bias. The game is going to crap
