Sounds like the warriors have signed Volkman from the roosters. To go with Metcalf, good signings. CHT anyone?

Need to start asking the question, is he in the top eight halfbacks in the NRL or could he become one? My opinion is no.

6 and 7 are just numbers.

If you wrote down the 20 best ever 7s and the best ever 20 6s I think there would be a stark difference between the two groups.

I disagree with this. I hear so many say it these days and I get why, but i think it's wrong. While the left and right halves system these days and the way they interchange supports the argument, it fails to tell the story of the mental side of it, both for those wearing the 6 and 7, and the team mates belief in said players. For that reason I believe there is a world of difference between 6 and 7.

I’ve always believed that 6 and 1 finish off what 7 creates. But Penrith have flipped that on it’s head.

And the signings of Api and Paps followed closely which lead us to believe a good decision had been made (finally). We’ve since lost Tuilagi and luci and failed to add to those signatures. Speed, speed and more speed is what we need. We would have to have the slowest backline in the NRL. The footwork of players in the other teams we have played so far make our guys look like they are wearing concrete boots.

Noffa, Ken M both have good speed. Where we have scored, its been our two wingers getting open ball and outrunning the defense. Not saying they are the fastest but they get over the line.

Gildart, Jimmy the Jet - not as fast as he was but still has speed. Hastings and Brooks have Speed.

Why it all looks slow is Our attack is an uncoordinated mess!

We are not the fastest in the NRL but if our backline has one thing it has speed. It does not use it because people get the balla nd have no idea what to do!

I think the 7 needs to play to the strengths around him (depending on field position and defensive decisions) and they could be any shape and wearing any number. Not a lot of strengths around our 6/7 though.

Im not blaming Sheens and if the money being reported is true I would have let him go too. My criticism is the failure to replace the blokes. We just suck at recruiting and it’s the clubs reputation that I blame.

Sorry no, we have no speed, Ken M has to be the slowest winger in the game and Nof ain’t far behind. Gildart and Toa run in quick sand and if Hastings isn’t the slowest half to ever pull on a 7 jersey then I’d be surprised. Liddle our hooker is probably our fastest player and that is sad.
