I thought his spot was 7 or gone and I think Hastings is a better 7. I'm starting to think you should use him elsewhere. He has a lot to his game. Good defense, he can ball play, he can put in a good kick, he is fast and he can make a bust with footwork.

Watch Brooks combination especially with Laurie the last couple weeks, everytime T'oa got in the same position he just looked awkward and the play stopped with him. Not his fault, he's not a fullback at this level imo...but our timing in attack is a lot better with Laurie there

I totally agree. Someone mentioned Brooks to fullback a while back and initially I thought it was stupid but I now think it's worth a shot.

Hastings looks good in the middle but we need to execute well on the edges.

They are both injured and there were plenty of good kicks put in today. To be fair to us Tuialgi did score. It just wasn't awarded.

I'm pretty sure that he didn't have control grounding, but if it was acknowledge that he was tackled/interfered with in the air and you could see Kelma's arm being grabbed which caused him to lose control of the ball then surely it should have been a penalty try.

Alternatively if it was a penalty in a try scoring situation is that not a professional foul and 10 in the bin?

Before we completely blame Gildart for the loss, how about we blame the playmaker who created almost zero chances with about 50 tackles on the St George line. The crossfield kick doesn't work. Bin it.

Pretty frustrated but also pretty happy in a way. We were waaaaay better and will win these games later in the season.

Quite disappointing to lose the way we did. We had adequate opportunities to put on points. 1-7 let down our forwards who held their own and gave it to the saints pack. I'm pleased with the effort. Unfortunately, that isn't going to win you games alone.

Our centre pairing is woeful. Gildart constantly running Kepaoa out of space. Garner doesn't know what the word pass means. To'a is a great attacking threat in the centres and wing but he is horrible at fullback. No passing game, his positioning and bomb defusal is difficult to watch. Liddle puts in and tries but he isn't a good enough first grade hooker. Half our squad should be playing reggies but isn't because of all the injuries we've had especially in the backline. Our sqaud pre-injuries was already predicted to come bottom 4 as it was. It is a good effort considering.

You can't expect to sustain the pressure of making what 11 errors? Not good enough.

Why not?
He is a dependable defender.
He is quick enough to get through a hole.
He has the ball skills to set up his winger.
If he played centre he’d be our Shaun Berrigan.

That was me. No inside info, I just don't see To'a as a fullback. He does not seem to organise numbers in defence and has not shown any ball playing ability. I would have Logen Dillon at fullback, Kepaoa and To'a in the centres, Nofo and Gildart on the wing. I think that is the best of some truly crappy options.
