I understand what you are saying but IMO we have turned a corner and we would of conceded 50+ the last 2 games if it was last year. At full strength we win or get close to Cows and I think it all comes from having Hastings there organising the team.. I have been asking for a leader on field for years now and we now have him.. Not a knock on brooks either but he is not a vocal leader that we have needed. If you haven't watch the Hastings interview after the game I recommend it as that's a Leaders response.

Hastings is without doubt a better talker and says the right things. In terms of skills they’re both good but stuck on a bad team.

This still remains to be seen, once they sign then it can be confirmed that elite players come here for Madge. We've had lots of 'done deals' with high profile players only to somehow stuff them up. Not doubting your info, just saying we've been here before and got nothing.

Our squad beat 2 good teams in consecutive weeks when we were far from full strength.
Lets get full strength and then judge them. My suspicion is they have improved.

3 in NQ game when we would have led at halftime and into a winning pos 2nd half. Watch the game again and listen to Voss explain why he won't comment on the "oh I won't comment on that". It was embarrassing to hear that from an opinionated commentator who seemed to be gagged from bagging the referring non decisions. I think he used the term "The Tigers just need the rub of the green" a few times - but maybe the refs were getting plenty of green by the terrible calls - not just last night but over the past many weeks. Unconscious Bias is alive and well in the NRL!

It's not the contract ext. that is the objectionable thing by the fans,
But what may be objectionable is, will the new contract have the correct price?

And if it's not done with the correct price then that will surely stir up a lot of fans on this forum,

Which then could make the Luke Brooks thread one of the biggest threads on the World Wide Web that even surpasses the Signing Suggestions & Rumours thread.

I’m yelling at the refs as much as anyone. We also got one in our favour when they ruled some kind of hip drop tackle on Tupou. Don’t hear those ones mentioned even when Garner scored off it. Just gotta be better.

The difference is Hastings actually makes the players around him better. He gets the whole team going. Brooks just did his thing, maybe got the occasional try assist in the final 15 mins.
If you can't see the difference between how our side has been playing the last 5 weeks compared to the previous few years then maybe footy isn't the code for you.

Those 2 forward Passes & offside kick meant that they got scoreboard momentum and we were under pressure thru injuries in the 2nd half. Simply bagging the team is so wrong. NQC should have lapped us with 1 on the bench but they didn't. Wake the F up and challenge the officials for failing to do their job! Try mowing a lawn without petrol!

The guys we have injured aren’t even rep quality players, they ran 13th or something last year. Their return may or may not improve us. Sorry harsh truth.
