OFFICIAL Adam Doueihi #227

Maybe Talau hasn't been doing well mentally and the club want to keep him out of the media. That's the only thing I can think of.
Putting missus Physio hat on.....ACL injuries can take ages to get right if damaged tissues don't heal properly.
Some people have to wear supportive braces for up to 2 years but thats usually when the patient is either old, unfit or the leg is unstable.
So considering we want these guys or girls to return under a year and play one of the hardest physical game on the planet is a testament to how advanced medical procedures and rehab have become.

Just a minor PCL strain skiing in Japan, thought I was good to go, used to be fairly fit but doc was an Aussie and said no way. "Wait at least 3 months before attempting anything vigorous".

Had a brace on half the time and rehab well… still took about half a year for full range to return

Yes that's right.
A lot of footballers when young don't even know they have had tiny tears or damage and then if they do serious damage to those healed tiny tears then the tissue takes a lot longer to heal. Not always but a lot of the time.
Thats why sometimes older footy player get a cleanout... arthroscopy.

Have heard it’s very difficult to get back the muscle memory and same level of agility after such longterm chronic injury, hopefully I’ll be on the lucky side!
