Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

What if you don’t like bananas?
Given the players WT are losing after this season you would think Management would be keen to make announcements on replacement signings.

Given lack of new signings besides the two quality players coming to WT in 2023 all I can put it down to is the uncertain about Maguire as coach going forward? This needs to be sorted out as we need to lure some more big player signings.

I wonder if there are any statics available of how many juniors ever make it to NRL and play at least 50 games. The step up from Junior levels and being a star to the grind of week to week NRL appears to be a massive jump.
So far we have Pap, API and Stefano who resigned. Best recruitment in ages.

Not sure what people are expecting?
We still have plenty of time. There will be some disgruntled players available. Just have to be patient.

I think there's a couple spots been taken by the Young Fellas - SCARES ME!!
I don't think we have as many spots available as the players that are leaving...

Rua is top 30 next year, Pole is top 30 next year - There may be more.
Replacing 50-100 gamers with Rookies might not be the master stroke we all hope it will.

I don’t get some on this forum , to think that u only need to sign one more backrower and we are all good , we are losing 3 and have just signed one , blore is not in the picture until he plays 10 games in a row , we need at least 2more backrowers , and don’t forget there is injuries and form lapses during the season , this is why we have not been in the finals because we lack depth
Why are you having a go at us? We aren‘t the decision makers.

Payne Haas on Wednesday night requested an immediate release from the Brisbane Broncos.

The Herald understands the Broncos denied the request. Haas was at training on Thursday morning but it is unclear whether he will play against the Gold Coast Titans on Friday night.

Sources with knowledge of negotiations told the Herald the request for a release came after a breakdown in contract negotiations with Broncos powerbrokers.

The Herald has been told that Haas doesn’t have a club lined up. It comes after a dispute with his long-time manangement company, Pacific Sports Management.

The drama comes on the eve of the State of Origin series with Haas again expected to play a key role for NSW.

More to come..

I definitely like Pole chances but not for a while. Tupou should be a great player if he kicks on

We pulled it off - And almost got the spoon on the way...
He can play, But he's a walking headline...

Who pulls this crap on the eave of Origin FFS!!
Not talking about pulling it off with Packer, he was injured or not good enough to make the starting team most of the time. And was paid massive overs to begin with on what he could produce. Haas is a generational freak of a player who puts up Packers best performances in his "quiet" games, would be worth going overs for.
