Can't be us, our team doesn't talk at all.
 
Well after tonight great effort we can put a line through any potential top line players. Can see why players stay at top clubs for less as at least you are happy most weeks and get to play in Sep..

Hastings and Nofo
The 6 at our club will be whoever Hastings wants it to be. Personally don't think Douhie has the personality Hastings can handle they are too alike. All guesswork though

So this year is clearly gone. Shame.

Papili'i massive for us next year but really need another prop to replace (and better) Tamou who has been one of our best so far. Thompson or Lodge only two really (and Thompson has been quite hit and miss).....

Not sure Crichton is right for us purely due to salary cap as I think we need a top line prop more than a second top line 2nd rower... (tricky not knowing exactly where we're at with salarcy cap - obvs both would be good but just assuming there's only room for one more 600k+ forward).

There is probably only one NRL club that can afford front-rower Payne Haas if he leaves the Brisbane Broncos this year — the Wests Tigers. They have the space in the salary cap but don’t think he’s worth anything more than what the Broncos are paying him - $750,000 this year and $800,000 in 2023. Haas would actually lose out on the deal because of cost of living and house prices in Sydney are far greater than in Brisbane.

Yeah, I was saying that. And you're not alone, but I wasn't going to reply to everyone's message about it. I was just being a grump. You appreciate him and that's all that matters.

Well he wants to play finals apparently according to SMH. That leaves us out

Maybe a fully serviced Meriton apartment and an all expenses paid Toll Tag does the trick.

Maybe not, the guy is nothing but trouble.

Last night Angus charged at the line, spun, and offloaded beautifully one handed for a try assist...absolute class. Completely outplayed Nikkora...

Yet we don't want to "pay overs".

You need to pay more to attract the top class players....

I really don't get it.

People will all be on this forum complaining next year, yet again, when our backrow depth is exposed again...and our front row stocks are shown to be short.

And wonder why we miss the finals.

Add Angus and Lodge and our 23 pack changes completely.

Add a "depth" back rower and prop from other teams state cup sides who are "value" and we will be right where we are again.

Yeah Crichton was very good. Made double the meters of either of our back rowers and actually managed a few tackle busts. Wouldn’t you hate to have a player like that 🤷‍♂️

So sick of the Scroog Mcduck mentality. Whenever there are good players available we don’t want to spend any money and then we wonder why we can’t get off the bottom of the ladder.

Yeah, class helps.

Again, I get the value argument. But in 2023 do we want a 'value' addition from Cronulla's state cup / Manly's lower grades / ESL...

Or do you want big Angus.

The "value" argument means you basically replace Tuilagi and Garner...with another Tuilagi and Garner.

Yeah I’m not saying start throwing money around like a crypto investor in a strip club but if you want quality you have to pay for it. And when you are perennial underachievers you have to pay a bit more again.

There’s no point having a pile of gold if you’re just going to sit on it. We need to start singing players who go straight into the top 13, not filling spots 20-30.
