These footy journalists are all entertainers now!

The Madge thing has been beaten to death several times. I just want to hear Madge’s side, but he’s too honourable to throw us under the bus.

I’m sure his payout will have a silence condition.

Our Chairman is not a fool and knows how to use language.

I don't see how you can have an independent review when the big boss has said "I suspect we do" need changes.

I don't see how you can keep the same coaching staff when the big boss has said "I suspect we do".

You don't "suspect" things and say that publicly unless you intend for change.

If there is no change, after saying you "suspect we do" need it...everyone just looks stupid if none comes.
 
Can anyone confirm if Madge has KPI’s in his current contract to lesser a payout if not achieved?
I think this might be a big factor in where they go moving forwards.
Common thought Is to get a coach lined up prior to moving on the coach. Whilst that is unethical, I’m not sure it is illegal?
Is there an mutual way to tell Madge his time is up end of season but we’ll be heading in a new direction at the start of 23 season?
Note#
This is different to the sharks as Morris was already off contract at the end of the year, where as Madge is signed till end of 23.

Sums up our issues beautifully. Madge has won premierships at his last two clubs, Cleary has won a premiership yet they couldn't get anything out of this lot. Why? Because the vast majority are lazy, have zero desire to win and are just here purely for money. Madge, AD (when he plays), Joe and now Hasting's are the only ones who look and play like they give a s**t about the club. Yet morons on here want to repeat the same mistake of blaming the coach. Even worse, they want to bring in Morris. Let's bring the rest of the old boys club back because that worked so well last time.

Honestly, the players pissing and moaning about training being too hard? You're paid mid to high 6 figures to throw a bloody ball around. Not to mention you've never achieved a damn thing on the field to have a whinge.

Stop blaming Madge, clear out the likes of Nofa, Liddle, Brooks, Seyfarth, Peachey (players who contribute little to nothing), and start paying some overs for winning players who have actually achieved something in this comp like Angus C.

All good except the claim that Lee is not a fool.

He may be a successful lawyer or whatever, but he’s entirely out of his depth running a football club.

I’d be recruiting a new Chairman externally, drain the swamp.

Who is the author of this news? Is it Hooper, it's not even clear who the author is.

And is it news, an opinion, or just speculation?

They cannot keep writing this stuff without making it clear where the hell are they getting this information from.

How can we give credence to a story when the sources have not been named? so that, then we can then judge if the source is reliable or not? or even if the source has requested anonymity?

Do these journalists think that their living in primitive times or that they can just make their own rules and guidelines for the reporting of news?

I always thought that by law the News agency must explain why the source requested anonymity inside the news article.

The news agency must give details and show Transparency, and if their article is an opinion then it must be clearly marked as an Opinion.
 
Madge had abt $2.5 mill injured or in reserves in his first two years here + a cap penalty. Thanks to Cleary
Third year still had abt 1.5 mill injured or not performing
Forth year 2022 still paying half of mbye salary and had virtually the whole first choice backline out for the first half of the year
Tigers don’t have the cattle to survive those circumstance and couldn’t go to market with cleary’s salary cap restraints and penalties
Don’t blame Madge for the last 4 years he was hamstrung and is only now getting clear air

Wow, you obviously don’t read anything on Foxsports much.
Anywho it is Hooper, thought it was pretty obvious since I posted it directly in a response to their being no James Hooper exclusive.

It makes no sense to say he‘d put us down. Why? Sure, he did the dirty on us, but that was only so he could coach his son and take the reigns of a club who were on the verge of being a powerhouse. He didn’t leave us because he had ill will towards us. His intention was not to screw us over, just to secure a better gig.

I’ve seen improvement from preseason trials.
 
To those saying Madge won comps at his last two clubs.

1. Yes, with Souths in 2014. A long time ago...Paul Green won in 2016 with the Cows, but his methods were quickly outdated and the Cows made the hard call. Ask yourselves whether they would be where they are now in 2022 with Green...

2. Madge won at Wigan...sorry, but "every" coach wins at Wigan.

Madge is well under 40% since 2015.

I have gone back and forth a lot on this, but since 2015 his record is very poor.

Again...would the Cows be where they are now with Green? Madge is very similar to Green.

Moving on from Green has proven to be a masterstroke.

Maybe we need a modern coach also.

Injuries are not his fault.

Mate - I can't help but think there's a bit more in it that that...
His deal was done with his mate the chairman under the table - Who knows how long they'd been talking....
What I do know, Is that with the bit of money Cleary left us with - We've snagged a few of their juniors, And some of their top liners.... Imagine what we'd have done with a LOT more money!!

I think he tied our cap up, on overs as long as they did on purpose....
To stop us dipping into their squad and give him a clear run at the comp.

When i went to search for the article, the story appeared between this heading,
