Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Offa has been going well but I don't want him at Lock. Still think we need a speedier, 5/8th type there. Ruck speed is just to slow.
Yea, our only option for faster speed would be either move Doueihi to Ruck or hire someone. No one we have that has the physicality to handle that position really has the speed.

Ofcourse if our forwards get dominant in a game you could put Liddle there for a little while, maybe 20 minutes. We just loose so much ground in the middle that you either need a superstar to go there OR get our pack more competitive.

There's really people in this world that think we told the NSW Blues captain to "Get Stuffed"?
Really?
re Tedesco...
I hope our management would hopefully move past that feeling.
Sheens I suspect would be able to lure him back or be above that.

Honestly, yes. I would be glad to have him back, for the right price.
When Woods approached us, I know we said no but I would have that moneyball conversation. At the right price I could see him adding value to the team, at 600k it's a NO.

Look at Brisbane with Petro Cinavociva! He added something to the culture there. Likewise Scott Prince wanted to finish at his home club. None of them set the world on fire, but they could.

I could see Tedesco adding to our coaching staff in retirement. He clearly is a great NR1 and you add him to our team, we make the top 8. 1.2m Hell no, 800k yes.

Either of those two wearing WT colours again are in the fairies at the “bottom of the garden“ territory.

Brisbane is Princes home club?
Played for games for us than he did in 2 Stints at Brisbane

His home is Mt Isa - Started at the Cowboys.

Woods was told no because he's not a Madge type forward...
We've already got Tamou, Twal and Stef...
His price wasn't much at all.

To ease your obvious anxiety BB, I think the words were “ not interested “ , but “get stuffed “ is the message . Apparently His management was softly enquiring about life after Rorters contract ends , not immediately.

No anxiety at all...
I don't believe that to be true at all.

Tedesco could retire tomorrow and be set - He's with Wehbe now, That guys got more money than the pope.... He's got Teddy sorted for sure.

Find some of the usually negative NRL media's new "love" for WT amusing. Brent Read's "advice" to Ciraldo to pick us instead of other clubs if he leaves Ivan and the boys is a case in point. Amazing!
I've always seen Read as the best of a bad bunch. Yes he's hammered us on occasion but we've deserved some hammerings. He's also often been one of the only blokes on 360 to call out Buzz and Pooper when they are crapping on us

Hmmmmm?
Bit on the wrong side of 30.
But possible short gap solution to our back row problems.
If they are still recruiting Madge odds on retaining are shortening.
Mate the guy is 30! Jesus, the next two to three years will be his best. Wrong side of 30. Seriously people think you turn 30 and you’re past it.

I see that Tongan wrecking ball Manu Ma'u is looking to come back to oz and looking for a club.
He hasn't played much over the last 12mths due to covid and suspension.
He would be a small gamble at 33 years of age but apparently he's fit as a fiddle. 1.84m (6ft).
There is a Brett Hodgson in England and Madge Kiwi connections and I imagine Tim would have kept an eye on him.
To compare him to what we have he is tougher than Kelma and knows how to find the line.
It will be interesting to see what the asking price is.
I won't post up his highlights as there are a few on the tube you can look at.
A 2 year deal at the right price might be worth looking at..... I'll give Tim a call 😁

You may well be,
I'm just assessing the quality of a footballer...

Te Maire is doing a really good job at FB (Not his natural position)
for the Broncs.
He was a quality player coming through and into grade - Well before he was what you're seeing as nothing more than "a feel good story"
G'day @batboy Absolutely love reading your posts as most of em are 11 or 12/10.
But with this one... the way I read it is You are confusing Te Maire with B J Leilua from @rihannafan1 post.
I'm probably wrong, and it doesn't matter which way it is, but I thought I'd just like to mention it anyway 🙂.

Agree with that. Best of a very bad bunch!
