I’m pretty disappointed in the club to be honest and genuinely feel for Madge. He may not have been perfect but his passion and determination to turn this place around is to be admired. He never gave up even when the players did. I think we were slowly starting to see some progress as a team, not necessarily as individuals. Apart from the second half against Souths we were turning up and having a dig and we were seeing improvements in players. Thanks for your efforts Madge.
Moving forward, Ciraldo seems to be the majority pick for who we’re after. Knows the Penrith system, has good relationships with players from all accounts, but so did Barrett and never been a full time first grade coach.
Payten in my opinion, is the next “Supercoach”. Smart, tactical and hates losing. Under contract and seems to love living in NQ, but has history with us and stranger things have happened.
Woolf - Tongan coach and done some good work in ESL. Wouldn’t be my pick.
Morris - I think he’s too inexperienced and we wouldn’t see much improvement for a long time under him. Sheens always loved him though.
Flanagan - controversial, but turned Cronulla around. Strong chance he brings his son along who I don’t rate.
Ryles - unproven, may throw his hat in the ring after time as the Storm and Roosters.
Farah - left field, but I wonder if Farah looks to move into an assistants role.
Paul Green - too similar to Madge and not really a development coach. Needs the cattle and has had a few recent unsuccessful attempts with other clubs.
