I see it differently in that he's shown more respect by ripping the band aid off - unlike the gutless lot who conducted the review, at the end of last year. From his interview you could tell that, like us, he didn't want Madge to be subjected to one more minute of unfair media scrutiny.

We hired Madge as a "Premiership Winning" coach, now we need a "development" coach? What the hell is everyone in the pathways system doing if not developing players? If this was a known deficit of Madge's coaching, why not hire an assistant coach to specialize in development years ago.
If we hire a development coach, who is the Man Manager coach? The Motivational coach, the Coach that brings in the big names, the Tactician, the Strategist, the Roster Manager?
It is all just rubbish, sacking the coach is the easiest things to do and it puts the blame on one person. It just more of the usual dumbassery.

and the worst part, the guys that stuffed that recruitment up are still at the club.

round and round we go. Were we stop? hopefully Perth.

That’s ridiculous mate sheens clearly didn’t see Madge as the coach to get us to the next level so why keep him around? Doesn’t matter how sheens has worded it. he has made a decision and decided we need a new coach to bring us into the foreseeable future

Yep and 8m sure there was a lot unsaid for the benefit Maguire too.

What did Warriors say about Maguire?
Asked if Maguire is on his hit list, Robinson said: “No he’s not.

“I don’t really know Michael Maguire but he didn’t get results at the Wests Tigers, so we’re not going in that direction.

“He is also coaching New Zealand and I don’t want a coach who has his fingers in other interests like a national team.

“I’m not interested in that.

“It takes the focus off your own club, so I will be looking elsewhere.”

He's been in the same boat as Madge. Tim's been sacked a few times

Blake, my understanding of the term "Development Coach" is a Coach who has developed strong relationships with young players who are making a name for themselves. Barratt is a good example of a "Development Coach." If you were a "Development Coach" looking for a job around Sydney, where would you go?

Wouldn't Barrett be a really poor example of a development coach...
He's quit 2 clubs after going very poorly

Unfortunately our roster wasn't strong when Madge arrived and it just didn't work out. We went down the rebuild route but the club for whatever reason couldn't get big signings across. Going down the youth route is the best decision we made and while I feel bad for Madge and loved his passion and his drive atleast now he will get a chance to prove himself at another club. We start again and hopefully this time we get some success out of it.

Yeah for sure Tim sheens job at this club is getting the football team to win games if he thought Madge was the answer could see Madge getting this club to where it needs to be I’m sure Madge would still be here

Tim doesn’t seem to me to be the kind of bloke who makes decisions to please fans or the board he appears to make decision in the best Interest of winning football games

He has been around forever he’s in his 70ns he doesn’t have time to be playing kind games with people

I thought it was a coach that improved young players, helped them find their best position, told them what they needed to work on. It is pretty vague and has become a buzzword after Penrith's success.
Ivan Cleary hired a bunch of experienced players when he came to the Tigers and hardly set the world on fire.
