Wests Tigers Coaches

Just wondering how the whole "development coach" and "pathways" talk appeals to players we want to sign who are not looking to wait 3 years till it comes to frution. Any number of clubs have teams looking to succeed now with a coach who doesn't need a mentor.
Lol yeah come sign with us…we have a plan to be reasonable in 3 years time…maybe.

Yeah man @MAGPIES1963 always so optimistic! I need some of that!

Must be living a good life!
Thanks 👍for your kind words @trentrunciman
When you love WT as much as I do it's not to hard to be optimistic....and how much better will it be when we actually win 3 games straight 😀😀😀.
Also I get so much enjoyment and so many laughs from reading everyone's posts 😍😍😍 You all make every day Special for me.
I'm now looking forward to a bright future for Wests Tigers and for anyone that may be feeling down atm, I hope you are able to also see a bright future.
Bitchin and moaning doesn't make for a good nights sleep or a happy day and it wont change anything Our Club does anyway.

Whos the other one?
Doueihi.

The Wests Tigers are refusing to put a timeline on Adam Doueihi’s return but he is expected to be sidelined for at least a month as he works his way back from a second knee surgery.

The Tigers have also placed boom prop Stefano Utoikamanu back in their rehabilitation group as he attempts to shake off the lingering effects of an ankle injury.

Doueihi underwent surgery on his left knee and hasn’t played since round 23 last year.

He was penciled in to make his return this week but the Tigers have wrapped him in cotton wool as a safeguard against further injury.

Doueihi is also off contract at the end of next season and the club has had informal talks with his management about an extension.

Their initial priority is to get Doueihi fit and back on the field after the Tigers co-captain made the decision not to play this weekend after consulting football staff and medicos.

“I am not going to put a time on it,” head of football Tim Sheens said.

“It won’t be long but he needs to intensify his workload. The staff have identified that. He himself is the one who said he wouldn’t play.

“We’ll let everyone know that he is ready to play — when he is comfortable and everyone is comfortable.”

Utoikamanu hurt his ankle earlier this year and the club has taken him out of the line of fire to work on the injury.

“He has been playing with a bad ankle for a few weeks and it is affecting him and his game,” Sheens said.

“So he has gone back into rehab.”

I wonder if if it’s a tactical move by sheens to get the new coach in before doughi is back so we can resign him before the media blow the hole thing up when he comes back and kills it

The article advises Doueihi made the decision after consulting with medical staff. Utoikamanu looked visibly restricted when he returned from injury. It seems there is a lot more to this issue especially since KImmorley referenced medical fitness.

I know this from the article -

Doueihi - article advises he "was penciled in to return this week" but now after consultation with medical and football staff it will not happen. Sheens will not put a timeframe on his return.
Utoikamanu played with an ankle injury and was noticeably restricted - the article advises he has been put into the rehab group.

Kimmorely makes reference to fitness in his comments.

It may be purely coincidental but these decisions are made on the day the coach is bounced.

So in your view, is this just purely coincidental?

If we make the 8 noddy will get the nod for head coach me thinks 🤔

We are best case 3 games behind making the 8. I would think we have a coach announcement within 4-6 weeks if Sheens wants them involved in recruitment decisions.

Doubt this year’s results will play a part in future decisions.

Sheens in his interview also mentioned something about Stefano being 21 and needing some protection as well.

It’s clear there is alot more to our injury ward than a players name sitting on the sideline.

I’m wondering if AD has blown up and is refusing to play and is testing the market?

But he’s probably just not ready though ☺️
