Wests Tigers Coaches

He was also up there for quite a while before the Warriors gig....
He'd have a good lay of the land, And possibly loves it up there...

Townsville is a weird place, People from there love it to bits.
My brother-in-law lives there and loves it. Personally, I can't stand the place.

I totally agree with you, James has been one of the few who had a dig.
However.... it's not up to anyone but the new coach to decide the roster moving forward. 🤔
I was upset about Madges demise but now I'm looking forward to the new chapter, a new coach and hopefully a roster where players will put in and show some class.
Sometimes a change like this can have instant results, either good or bad.....
I remember an interview that Tim Sheens gave after the 05 grand final win.
He said that the club was aiming at 06 to be their premiership assault.
You never know 🤔
Yeah, you’re right. Here’s hoping the club can get a new coach in asap so some decisions re. recruitment/retention can be made.

Ciraldo, as a rookie, should be at his cheapest. Not knowing the going rate for coaches, but assuming Madge was on say $550K (paid out for the rest of this year and next year), then we might be able to get him for $2M for the 5 years - 5 x $400K. That could seem like a bargain in a few year's time. Just a thought....
Not enough 500K ayear is more like it he would be on 250K at the Riff he has a wife family kids and 500K if it doesn't work out is great he would walk into any side kicks job again what's not to like about it

I think it’s clear Sheens wants Ciraldo and the press conference the other day pretty much confirmed that for me… he’s been renowned for being a “development coach” and is highly rated because of that - Sheens is a smart man he knows what he’s doing he’s painting the picture for Ciraldo

His involvement of the development of the Penrith juniors and being the defensive coach there speaks volumes - widely known around league circles

We missed out on Bellamy when he was an assistant trying to break into the head coaching role and I’m not saying he’ll be the next Bellamy but I do see similarities

I’d be disappointed if we don’t get him - Flanagan isn’t the right fit and Morris will struggle to recruit (similar to Madge) another word Sheens referred to a lot was recruitment and developing with Ciraldo being able to do both

Sheens and Ciraldo would be the duo I’d feel comfortable with taking us to the next level
It's not the first time Sheen's almost got him as a player from Cronulla it was said he sign but ended up at Penrith and if my memory serves me correctly he got a injury to his neck I think that stop his playing career

Absolutely man, I mentioned this the other day…how can this bloated fool spread unsubstantiated rumours, likely untruths, when he has such a clear conflict of interest? The NRL should step in and whack this bastard, as his comments are likely to adversely affect our power in the recruitment market.
Didn’t see your other post but like Anasta and Brandy are the same. Ikin too but he’s a little more balanced.

It'll be Ciraldo. They want a young coach with fresh ideas who can develop young talent and that's Ciraldo. I reckon it would be a very logical appointment, whether it works in practise will be another story but on paper he makes the most sense

Assuming at least some of the hype around our youngsters is not just more pie in the sky this time. Even if Ciraldo can do what he has done best thus far, in developing so many players with potential, he will have done better than any other coach in more than a decade.

To the question of this thread

Does it actually matter who coach's the Tigers in 2023 on past experience it honestly doesn't matter same story different year or am I missing something ?
