Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Spot on Bob... Listening to Noddy in the Press C is uncomfortable and cringeworthy IMO.
Sheen's has not done the right thing putting him in there but its too late now.
Add to that the fact Tamou is clearly a yes man puppet with no mind of his own.
His default response is we trained well mixed with looking at the desk nodding his head approving of the dribble the coach churns out.
If Tamou is a leader like he continually states in pressers than I am Clive Churchill !

Any coach that signs up is in for a painful 2023. They are coming for 2024 when our squad is

Team
Korosau
Musgrove
Maumalo (mutual option)
Nofo
Papali
Twal
Uto

Depth
Matamua
Rua
Simpkin
Pole
Riley
Tupou
Saukuru

And a decent amount of cap to sign quality players.

It’s that sense that you understand the “development” standpoint because if you have a coach that isn’t wanting to plug a team full of the best they can get to have us limp into the finals in 2022, it’s a squad that is pretty workable into a decent team if we don’t panic for next year and attract some quality for 2023.

I don’t think Nofo, musgrove or Kenny should of been extended that long, but that was all pre sheens.

Far point , someone made just back a bit , why the hell would u release two big forwards when we don’t have enough size to start with . We got steam rolled today . We need answers from are club why the hell are we going down this path , releasing players , and not have any replacements , sacking a coach and no replacement , it makes no sense , or do they want the SPOON 🥄

They will turn this team around and hopefully we can buy some more quality and move on the ones who don’t want to be here
It’s strange having a longer waiting period than per usual to wish for a competitive side and a new coach.

Maybe this year, there is less promise of finals and related mind numbing hopey hysteria from the club.

More chilled, less fantasy stuff. I loved Madge, but finals talk in round 22 when we were coming second last doesn’t cut it.

We are completely stuffed this year, but we’ve been told about it straight up. I think that’s better than most years.

It can’t be buyers remorse this year. They are eating the garbage voluntarily.

Doesn’t excuse it, but maybe we can live with the pain better.

Expectations are low until next year. That’s the way it is.

The lack of planning is just bewildering… Noddy is so far out of his depth and it’s obvious. Personally I think we should give Ciraldo as much time as he needs to make a decision. Why should he rush his due diligence, or sacrifice his performance in his current role just because tigers made a snap decision about our current coach and acted quickly.

The question is who is the better option for a coach, Madge or a very unprepared Noddy. I think the obvious answer is Madge. Why did we get rid of him until we had someone better for the role?

Throwing the season away this early and so obviously hinders our search for a coach.

They didn't want to look for coaches before sacking madge.

Why? It is a theme I guess, we also didn’t replace two players we just let go.

I understand the mentality might not have been that way a decade ago, but we signed both Kirasau and Papalli for next year and there doesn’t seem to be a problem with them playing out the season at their current clubs. I just think we have put our club so far back for no reason. Did we not think that Madge would of been able to handle the scenario professionally?

Big ask to sack someone but get them to hang around for another dozen games

The press would of had a field day.

This year is done and irrelevant as sad as that is.

When ciraldo passes on us there's still some good options there for now. Just have to let it pan out.

There's some good players coming so that increases our chances next year and need a coach who can attract talent

Bennet did it, twice at the dragons and south’s, so did brown at the dragons. I think Cleary also did it first time he was punted from the panthers… obviously Bennet was the most successful in terms of how far he got them into the finals and he also had another contract lined up.

I have a hunch. Although an unlikely outcome. But that Madge had KPIs in his contract that decide his fate at the end of the season and they didn’t want to risk another season limping in to next season. So they pulled the pin so that legally they are free to start planning for not just next year but the seasons after.
