No cc, I’d say Flanners at 2 with a 1 year club option.

No need for us to get carried away.

Morris and anyone else should get the same deal.

Merlot my opinion is changing like the tide.
I'm listening to everyone on the forum and because I'm out of touch with footy other than just watching it on tv I can't really give an expert opinion anymore.
The more I read peoples opinions in the forum I get a mix of opinions and it's hard to disseminate fact from fiction.
I don't know if CC is the be all and end all but apparently from the panthers brains trust he's very knowledgeable and works well with the young fellas.
The idea the tigers wanting to put in an academy type environ for these young boys coming through which will take more than 2 years to see results is a good spin.
If CC falls thru I thought Morris having the same demeanor as CC could work even though Morris jumped on the end of Flanno's build at the Sharks which is what he has at the top of his regime.
I don't know why I'm not sold on flanno, it could the drug scandal which has lack a of credibility attached to it, I don't know, I mean that's all done and dusted hey.
Todd would be great. My question is did they talk to Todd about a possible takeover from Madge. Does Todd even want the gig in a year knowing the shite fight he could endure. He is however close mates with Sheens and should work with him. I don't know whether Todd will be avail next year so I'm not keen on an interim coach as I want to see success before I'm pushing up daisies.
I even thought about about an older calmer coach in ex bulldog great Dean Pay.
He appeared calm under adversity but he had the reins put on him.
I always wondered how he would have gone with a team that he selected and the support he needed. Instead they gave the next gig to Barrett who did diddly squat. After trying to buy a great team they sacked him.
What happens if the SOO is a clean sweep to Qld and Slater puts his hand up to coach. What if Freddy doesn't go to Dogs...would he go alright with us. I don't think those two will come to us.
What about "there must be an investigation" as a coach?
Taking into account how long it's going to take to get this shite show organised I'm now starting to hope CC gets a 5 year deal followed by Morris, but hey, as I said, I'm somewhat confused and annoyed.
 
No wonder we suck at recruiting and retention, we have a committee that gets together to discuss it including the coach.
Is that normal? i thought the coach had the say on who he wanted.

Control freaks want be part of every aspect. Its a big negative.

Correct, my insiders at the Doggies said that Pay was always a “ development coach”

But he knew what he was getting himself in for, put his hand up for troubles. I’m sure he was hoping he could do something with them.

I thought his and their clubs response to the schoolgirl scandal was very poor. You are meant to visit schools with good faith.

I’m already over this cc business and half written him off. He’s been to the club a billion times, been offered a kings ransom and he’s still staring into the headlights.

People are filling his head with muck, Ivan probably has every player lined to get in his ear. All this lovey dovey stuff Millie conned Elliot into. The stuff @stryker 69 deplores and finds reprehensible except after 2am.

If we revoke the offer, a rejection can’t hurt us and we will be saved from further contempt.

Flanno is a good positive guy, very experienced and loves coaching. Screwed up, but we all have. He suits us.

The whole club is paralysed. We need a deadline, not a second after. And we don’t him coming the raw prawn like the cows. Yes or bugger off. No more dancing around.

Tell him we will get Burto or whatever, whatever he wants to hear, but we need an answer soon as.

I know we don't want to rush this but the longer this takes the harder it gets.
Clubs will be all over our top players like Hastings , AD, Laurie etc... because we are apparently waiting to get a coach before extending players.. It makes sense and I understand it but it works both ways as there might be players out there that might want to come but don't want to wait weeks / months to see who the coach is.

I'm glad i'm not the one making the decisions as you are not going to please everyone but I would hate to lose a player like Hastings or AD (both young) because we are waiting for a rookie coach to make up his mind. There is only 16 HC jobs available and most of the time coaches apply for the job and sell themselves to the club so clearly CC has something as the club is selling us to him. By all reports CC would of known about this job for a while now and surely he knows if he want to take it or not.. This reminds me of when we are talking to players and they are taking there time to make a decision - We all know they are holding out for a better deal elsewhere from a better club and we are left with nothing..

Maybe the so called deadline is a good thing 🤷‍♂️ or at least start interviewing other people.
Does anyone know if others have interviews booked in yet or are all our eggs in the one basket?

He’s a old Magpie so I am not against it.
 
It would nice to be involved with the club somehow as opposed to speculating. A bit hard to do so from Murrumbateman though. I am on the CC bus only because the club announced the development direction.

If I was king instead of Sheens I think I would look to be doing something different. At the moment teams are trying to reproduce the Melbourne/Panthers model. I would like to take a different approach and develop a plan to defeat the current trend. A mobile ball playing pack with an attacking mindset based on second phase play across the park. Heads up football played around a loose framework. That would allow us to purchase players the current top 8 don't find attractive as they don't fit the structure of the modern game. So who does that throw up for us - probably the Walker Brothers. A risky approach - sure - but what an exciting club we could become!

Good read mate, where do I "pay" 🤣
I know this is sounding like a broken record....last year before and after the review, surely the club had this sorted, the what ifs I mean.
My gut feeling is CC was approached and played the wait and see. Wt used Sheens not settled yet as an excuse for not punting madge.
The world is at CC feet now. As you said I don't care either, over it.
Now that it's back fired somewhat, what is their contingency plan that I'm SURE was worked out last year.
This club reaks of disorganisation.
People can make excuses for the WT like injuries, suspension, covid and our trainer ran out of fairy dust, the runs or lack there of are there are all for all to see.
The fact that blind freddy could have predicted a poor start to the season and the coach will be under fire but the only voice available was on holidays in remote Australia.
The next thing blind freddy would have seen is out with old and in with the new coach and how it would go down with supporters and players. Now all this indecision is affecting the club.
Not only wacked by the dogs but the talk is Brooks is being punted after a below average performance. Love or hate the guy I can understand him feeling it.
This should have been done last year when he was worth something, say to the Knights. The WT heads have stuffed us up and Brooks.
How there can be all this talk about dropping him when our rep boys are playing is surely media driven because WT aren't that dumb are they hey 🤔
I'm running out of patience, I'll never stop supporting them, ever, but I'm running out of time, I cant do another rebuild 🤣
 
thinking it will be Ciraldo and Barrett ad an assistant. Downside will be Hastings will go elsewhere and we are stuck with Douhie and Brooks in halves
