From wiki: In 2002, Woolf began his coaching career as an assistant coach for the Townsville Brothers in the Townsville & District Rugby League (TDRL) competition. At the same time, Woolf was teaching at Ignatius Park College and coaching their senior rugby league side, winning the Queensland State Schoolboys Championship in 2004.

In 2005, Woolf joined the North Queensland Cowboys as their junior development manager. After holding the role for four seasons, Woolf became the team's NYC coach in 2009. He took the side to the finals for the first time in 2010 and to their first Grand Final in 2011, which they lost in golden point to the New Zealand Warriors.

In 2012, Woolf joined the Brisbane Broncos as an assistant coach to Anthony Griffin.

In 2015, he returned to North Queensland as the inaugural coach of the new Intrust Super Cup side, the Townsville Blackhawks.In the club's first season, the side finished in first place and qualified for the Grand Final, losing to the Ipswich Jets.

They are the sort of coaches that you need in the pathways system, or an Academy setup in the CoE.

he's done well in Toyota Cup and Q Cup as well plus has been an assistant in a stack of places, not to mention doing the impossible with Tonga against Australia. agree with you in terms of results not translating from England to Australia but he's done a pretty decent apprenticeship.

on Holbrook, he turned a club around that looked like it was certain to fold by the end of the decade into a top 8 side. yes this year has been terribly poor but if Fogarty is still there I think they're in a better spot. Titans have some decent talent both on their roster and in the lower grades, I doubt they'll be bottom 4 for too long.

Titans have always had a half decent roster and under-performed.
Last year they did well better than they should have - But Holbrook also let Fogarty go
(Under contract I might add) He also signed Fifita on a Gazillion dollars.

Both Holbrook and O'Brien should have been shipped off well before Madge with the squads they have and the puss they've been churning out.
 
I noticed Ben Kennedy in the sheds for the Blues the other day, assume he has some kind of assistant/mentor role.
Wonder if he could help get some steel into our pack?
Or at least get them wearing some arm guards with actual steel in them...

Yes.

I love the current running gag in the NRL that Fifita does his ten minutes worth of marquee footy per game before calling it a day.

Nothing escapes the fans notice.

Nowhere to hide out there for chumpsters. Especially the grotesquely over paid lol.

Right now, I’d be satisfied if they knew they were at a game.

We can’t ask for too much too soon. It won’t compute.
