Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

When Douehi was fullback, he was too slow to cover kicks. When he was 5/8, the centres very rarely saw the ball. They only got the ball that he did not want. ( he was a hogg ). If Toa is in the centres, his winger will never see the ball. ( he is also a hogg. ) Best for the team at this stage and with the cattle we have, is Douehi in the centres, where he is more potent, and Toa in reserves on the wing. He is a winger only, or possible fullback if desperate.

I kinda agree. This season is over. Prepare for the next. Drop Kelma. Play Brooks of the bench or not at all. Blood whatever junior talent we have carefully.

That said, it's hard to convince Noddy to give up on the season when he needs wins to further his own career,
agree, but noddy should also recognise we are last with the team he rolls out each week, won't get many wins sending the same group out each week

Everyone is happy to tell you how amazing he is - Without admitting that having him in the centres takes the heat off the halves and will create more opportunity for the team.

Anyhow.... As it is, was and will always be.
Fair point. Would we also get that heat off the halves if Doueihi was 5/8 at Jacko lock?

Anyone know how Tuki Simpkins has been going this year? Ive nothing against the young blokes theyve given chances to the last couple of weeks but thought Tuki was reasonable last year and from that would have thought he would have been ahead of them this year.

Dropped back to flegg.

High-profile Wests Tigers recruit Api Koroisau has backed Tim Sheens to take over as coach next year.
The NSW State of Origin hooker has also declared he is fully-committed to the struggling franchise amid increasing uncertainty over the head coaching role.

In the games I have seen he has been really, really poor. Slow, unfit, barely able to keep up in state cup.

Would not matter if Andrew Johns was our halfback if the forwards are going backwards or in our case run half hearted you are going to look second rate. By blooding Pole and Matamua at least we are making a attempt to rectify this issue.
and one obvious difference to our previous coach, who endlessly rotated the same cattle

Lets not pay half his salary to play somewhere else. Someone either takes his full salary or he plays reserve grade.
He is more and more reminding me of Ash Taylor and Milford.

We can pay some of his salary but it has to make sense to us. Honestly getting rid of him would be better for this forum and some supporters.

I just see him as an average first grade halfback and we need guns. The thing is he is a first grader and so we can use him. We shouldn't screw ourselves in releasing him.

Just say to any club that wants Brooks, "you want him you pay full price".

At this point we'd be better off without him so I'd chuck in some money. How much would he be worth though. I reckon to another club he may be worth 500k- 800k. If they paid that I'd release him.

If not let him play where it suits us and if that is in reserve grade fine.
