Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

We were beating Melby at half time and got run down. No shame in that.
From memory we had a decent lead, and it could have been more but for a 50/50 call on a disallowed try.
We were horrendously unfit though (obviously not his fault) and got run down by the Storm. Cheyse Blair of all people scored an 80m solo try in the second half.

The journos are clutching at straws with coaching saga saying Sheens said no and Morris is the go.
The thing that would completely destroy this club is if players are reported by the club to have said yes then they pull out.
Surely they have learnt from "leak gate"
It's the same thing with Morris. The club has to shut their mouths and the shutters.
They have to keep ahead of the journos by discrediting any untrue rumours so they can't report on anything.

Some players off-contract end 2023, so free to negotiate Nov 1. I think we could offer more money and opportunity to all these players than their current clubs and I would happily pay 'overs' for a couple of them. If we could get two of them and then get the early release they could transform our pack alongside Api, Ipap. Particularly if Blore and Utoikamanu could progress.

David Klemmer: On big money at the Knights, who have the Saifitis and a few young improving forwards. Still makes plenty of metres and would add a bit of aggression to our pack.

Tom Flegler: The signing of Walsh and upgrades to the likes of Cobbo and Mam should see Broncos under cap pressure. Flegler is reportedly on decent money and his release would really help ease that. Is just one of many good young forwards at Broncos so wouldnt be a huge loss for them. May be enticed by a starting role. May have a relationship with Joe O.

Spencer Leinu: Will be a long-term bench player if he stays at Panthers. With the number of big names at their club, im sure we could offer significantly more money without going silly. Played juniors alongside Blore and Laurie and 20s Origin with Utoikamanu and Seyfarth.

Tieg Wilton: Would think this would be harder to get over the line as no incentive for Sharks to release. Might be inclined to join if we got Leinu over the line, as was another in that same 20s Origin team.
