I said it before and but I'll make it clearer. I think we win if we played a middle forward in the 13 spot instead of Hastings and Brooks wasn't in the team.

The only valid argument I see is that it was one game but that argument is the same as stating Doueihi has been ordinary this year.

The only position I'd consider Brooks is fullback but Laurie performed as good as Brooks would.

I think we should bite the bullet and drop Brooks.

Two tries were disallowed down our left. We always looked the more dangerous down that side, as we did last week. I'll let the coach decide team selections but Sheens wanted Hastings at 13 and it worked.

Should be a better pack, still issues in the backs.

Probably time for Brooksy to move on. I wanted sos at the start of the year but Bennett had the same idea.

It’s a sad way for Brooksy to finish up with us, but he’s got to go.
 
It’s quite simple
We are a substandard side
Then we let LL and AMik leave depleting our side further
Then lose Ute and Twal for the season after releasing the above 2
No team can survive losing 4 regular experienced forwards and bringing in some 19 year olds,
At the start of the year it was the reverse, we had no backs to call on

We were unlucky but who cares when we are clearly not making the finals this year.

It's nonsense to say we looked more dangerous on Brooks side because Doueihi actually busted the line and scored a try when Brooks didn't.

I'm not a Brooks hater and I'll change my opinion based on performances and performances only.

We should just try Hastings at 7 and Doueihi at 6. Drop Brooks to reserve grade,

Musgrove has never shown anything even with south's he was ordinary and we resign him long term ,who were the fools who do this and continue with Brooks . Surely it's time to give Brooks a reality shock before the end of the season and see how he reacts

No offence but I hate the excuses. It's not about confidence. It's first grade rugby league with so few quality halves in the comp.

I've supported Brooks at plenty of times because a pretty ordinary player like Cleary walks into the SOO team.

The issue is are the Tigers a better team with Brooks at 7 or 6 compare to Doueihi and/or Hastings.

I'd consider Brooks at fullback but that is between Laurie and Brooks.

I don't think we are off massive improvements but we need to deal with our spine players now.

What is written on this forum carries no weight with the coach fortunately. There appears to be a clique of a few posters who can see no wrong with Doueihi and plenty that is wrong with Brooks, Doueihi had plenty of poor moments today although you wouldn't know it if you relied on this game day thread.

Was Brooks perfect, absolutely not but he doesn't deserve the level of criticism that is levelled at him. It is clear last week and again this week, our left is potent in attack and also did well in defence considering Tupou and Kepaoa were on the left together.

I see a team transitioning in the way it plays with Hastings leading it at 13. He played well and Ofahenguae should move permanently to prop. The young players are learning but will make mistakes. I think we all need to be realistic about our team. The effort was there today and I can't ask for much more.
