Wests Tigers Coaches

Yeah I know.,,unbelievable
Ken oaf

Decisions on the hop.

All of the fierce and extended propaganda about protocols, process and professionalism since the end of last season has been binned.

So far as Tim is concerned, a self-obsessed juvenile delinquent is a round peg in a round hole.

We can all see that the roster is the problem here if Madge had a better roster he would have been more successful I see the appointment of benji as head coach an attempt to fix the roster hopefully he can bring some quality players in

Two years from now when Sheens is heading back to England, and Farah back to his business interests, Benji will fix the roster? All those juniors coming through too. I hope it works better than the Ciraldo plan? Maybe if/when Benji fixes the roster the Ciraldo plan will be back on?

Sheens heading back to the GM role. Not sure where this England stuff coming from.

Tim sheens has stated once the 2 years is up he is going back into the gm role and I would have preferred ciraldo John Morris but we have gone in a different direction and I can see why we have. This club is unlike any other club we have brought in several different coaches from other clubs and it simply hasn’t worked so you have to try something out of the box

As much as I liked Madge for his passion and his rep of being a hard arse on the training field, I can't for the life of me think of one player or area of our play that improved under his watch.
Attack boring and predictable, no sting in defence, kicking game abysmal, no urgency in the play the ball or kick chase.
Don't know if the three amigos is the answer but I bet my left one it will be entertaining.

He’ll be in his mid 70’s by then. I very much doubt it.

I can make an argument for Sheens. It would be a bad one without any recent success, achievements or anything else to back it up.

There is no way you can justify guaranteeing Benji the job. Doesn't matter what skills he may have, what attributes he may have demonstrated, the simple fact is he has absolutely no coaching experience in any organisation. He could be the next Jason Taylor at a mad Monday with player interactions.

I hop e this works out well, but the decision was based on a vibe more than any resume or review of skills and performance.

Some classic quotes in this! I'd love Lee & Pascoe go in 360 one night when Kent & Hooper are on. Would be very interesting if Kent is so venomous then towards them.

...

Recent comments from one NRL 360 talking head have angered the Tigers chairman, with the reporter in question labelling the move as a publicity stunt.

“I will take this opportunity to correct a certain misrepresentation which I have seen in the media, which has caused me a little bit of concern," he said.

"There is a particular talking head on Fox Sports who has been very critical of the Wests Tigers for some time, myself and Justin Pascoe our CEO in particular.

"None of that concerns me at all, the other thing is he resorted to name-calling, which is always the refuge of those who cannot make a cogent argument. In fact, he even suggested that Justin and I venture into the street and shoot each other – in this day and age of so much gun violence, I didn’t think that was particularly clever.

"When Benji was interviewed, it was suggested to him that his appointment may have been part of a publicity stunt by the club to divert attention away from the club.

"We can be the subject of legitimate criticism, but to suggest for one moment that Tim Sheens or Benji Marshall or Robbie Farah would be complicit, either willingly or unwillingly, to some publicity stunt, I thought was particularly demeaning and disrespectful to those gentlemen.

"If they did not believe that they were the right people at the right time, I’m sure they wouldn’t accepted to the offers that had been made.

"Criticism of me and Justin and the club is fair enough and we will take that on board, but these gentlemen deserve far better."

Just feels like no thought was put into the Marshall thing. Sheens even said it was only brought up over lunch. Retired a year ago and never entertained the idea of coaching. Only our club.

Since when has the higher-ups at the club put thought into anything?

As long as the hors d'oeurves to be served in the private box are hot, Harry gets some free loose surplus shit floating around in the back of the Roarstore storeroom, the hat sales are up and the flagposts are straight at the ground we're right...

Benjis left one is stuck in Sharon.

Lee pushing the decision back on Tim and the lads. They said it would work, so it’s their baby now. That’s his message.

Good to see our version of accountability hasn’t lost its prominence in club affairs.

I suppose it was all too much for us to expect any kind of responsibility from anyone.

A bunch of pork chops.

How does a journalist suggesting two people shoot each other still have a job. I can’t stand our elitist twat of a chairman, but he should sue the arse off of whoever said that. Even Fox Sports would have to be liable as well.

It was Kent. Said they should wonder onto Main Street at dawn and take shots at each other. Something along those lines. It was a hilarious joke, referring to an old western stand off but I can understand that it could be condoned as encouraging gun violence in todays way of life.
