NRL admits bunker mistake

Gotta say full credit to Michael Chammas, the way he conducted himself towards Annesley. Came prepared and didn’t just swallow the company lines. It’s just a shame Annesley continued to make no sense at all. Pure garbage.

Honestly believe Annesley refusing to acknowledge the wrong use of the challenge is due to the Tigers legal threats. When your Chair is in charge of one of the countries biggest compensation law firms you better believe Lee is licking his lips at the chance to take the NRL on.
What a deadset LEGEND. He done most of the hard hitting, others also helped make it possible.
if there is a next time, I hope CHAMMAS walks off on him , mid interview.
he should have banished his nuts forever , whilst he was on the ropes.
thats what the maggot will do if the shoe was on the other foot.

Chammas deserves to have the Everest trophy , very very powerful , smart man, with what I can see.
I think he’s good for it but he has also got to keep his head.
CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT WAS US UP THERE WITH THE MIC

Kent says that because Kepoa's run ticked all the boxes to constitute an escort he could understand why Klein gave the penalty. Then, having a bet each way, he says, even allowing for that. Klein should not have given the penalty! Priceless!

Really? If you want to play that game then if Brooks hadn’t given a shit pass to Kelma and made a piss poor attempt of a tackle on Nanai we wouldn’t be in that position to begin with. But the reality is that Brooks mistakes didn’t cost us the game nor did AD conversions (which were damn hard kicks from the sideline btw).

The fact is that this is not on any of the players. For the first time in a while, just about all of played with effort and passion that hasn’t been seen since Madge was sacked. We won that game but it was stolen by an incompetent/corrupt official in the bunker.
Get over yourself mate, no one is playing games, have another read

And here's proof that with a determined and smart enough legal counsel the truth will prevail (y)
After we win this case Lee H's photo will be proudly displayed in every WT's fans pool room throughout Australia :ROFLMAO:
It's the constitution, its Mabo, it's justice, it's law, it's the vibe, no that's it, it's the vibe, I rest my case

Yeah i saw that hes a bloody disgrace, he's arguments were illogical. Almost seemed like you had a separate agenda 🤔

What a load of crap!!

His specialty is injury compensation - nothing else!!!

He may as well be a conveyancer...

Umm, I'm not a lawyer but I'm pretty sure that you don't go to uni and study only injury compensation to get ...

Okay, I had to stop myself and look it up:

No matter which law school you are in, you are required to successfully complete the 'Priestly 11' core law subjects to practice law and become a legal practitioner in Australia.

Here are eleven 'Priestly 11' subjects:

Law of Contracts

Property Law

Company law

Federal and State Constitutional law

Criminal Law and Procedural Laws

Torts

Administrative law

Equity (including trusts)

The Law of Evidence

Civil Dispute Resolution

Ethics and Pro fessional Responsibility

I think he probably has a fair idea about what he is doing.

You know, I think I'll come to his defence on this...but not how you might think:

I think there is credence in the idea every panel needs a "Simon Cowell character" if you will, as there would be few symposium like forms of entertainment where everyone always had the same, prosaic view that would last long.

Watching last night I actually got the feeling that Kent didn't have his whole heart in what he was saying and it wouldn't surprise me if it's him just playing the part he does for a living.

I mean really...surely even he doesn't believe the way Feldt and Kepaoa's paths of travel were anachronistically portrayed on that screen would wash?!

The way it was shown was deliberately done to give the impression that Feldt ran from point A to point B. They then showed Asu's path starting after Feldt's which when seen in that manner makes it look how they wanted it to; As an escort.

Okay, so this isn't the missing frames from the Zapruder film, but what I'm saying is that I think even Paul Kent didn't believe his script and was just playing his role.

Ok smarty pants, help us idiots understand.

Something was mentioned about administration law.

Can you explain why there is no case under this particular law?

Because adminstrative law breaches are not punishable by binding court orders or compensation!

Whilst some lawyers and some law firms do specialise in certain areas of the law (conveyancing, family law, crime etc). my understanding is Brydens offer a wide range of legal expertise more than sufficient to handle our dispute with the NRL and they supplement that expertise with the opinion of external counsel (QC's etc) which, as I understand it, Lee has done here.

You are kidding yourself mate!

Come back & speak to me next week when nothing has happened & Lee has retreated with his fedora between his legs...

I agree that is was an appalling injustice through incompetence etc - but there are ZERO legal grounds to achieve any beneficial resolution!

Lol... You're on a tear! 🤣

What business are you in? I'm in civil engineering and you can bet your bottom dollar that if I were faced with an issue regarding metallurgy or mineral processing I'd be straight onto the best, most experienced process engineer I could find. Now I can guarantee you that would take less than a day.

You think that his saying he is seeking the best counsel for this situation is the move of an arrogant, dumb man?

So if you are so confident put your money where your big mouth is. Those of us you have labelled idiots you can take our bank details and if you are wrong you can deposit the dollar amount equal to your IQ.

At least I'd maybe get lunch for free one day...

You think paying for advice from Silks that you clearly have no case when you are supposedly a legal expert is good business??

Genius!!

What upsets me is that Lee has somehow convinced the gullible supporters that he is on their side while he incomptently spends club $$$ chasing a figment of his imagination!
