Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

no ,its on the players
They have the call I agree.

Some of our crew, it doesn’t matter what the coach says, they struggle.

So they are incapable of following a game plan set etc. Be it physical and/or mental.

They can’t cope with game hardship, although a bit better under Noddy.

So the coach can make impact, but only in a measured way.

The solution is new players or enhancing existing players and in that respect, some are more promising than others.

I don’t think it’s just physical, too many smaller or less massive players playing amazing footy in the league.

And conversely, bigger and mobile players not putting in or making errors.

That’s why Yeo is the best player in the game at the moment. Massive, mobile and intelligent.

The marquee rooster's player's that sign for under market value are on the politis pay roll for years after retirement, minichello isn't complaining, can't compete with that setup
Yes I agree the Nrl salary cap auditors probably don't even police 3rd party rorts while they are playing

Madge should have stayed this year, but one thing I don’t miss was his sides lack of resilience.

Laurie or Thommo would let a high ball bounce awkwardly and that would sap the daylights of our confidence and you knew we were goners.

And I bet my life he spent months and years trying to belt resilience into their heads, but it went in one ear and out the other.

As NZ coach he’s done well hasn’t he?

The Ponga walk of shame from the toilet door cubicle with his mate.

You’d think the establishment would have been a bit more discreet.

There goes all their nrl business.

In this day and age, Ponga should have just said they were having a cuddle and that would have saved his reputation.

I’m not being homophobic, I really don’t care what people are lawfully into.

Just noting Times have changed.

In hindsight yes, but I’d like to know his side of the story.

Which players he wanted we rejected.

Despite Lees assurances, I am sure he only signed off on some players out of desperation or he felt obliged.

Please feel free to post some ideas to discuss tomorrow excluding

- Vietnam "business trips"
- diving boards and public pools
- sharks in Sydney harbour
- Parramatta river
- the Ryde Bridge
- snake sightings
I liken us to Wiley Coyote, we have run off the cliff, trying to run on air, reaching out for the spoon.

As soon as the road runner hands us the spoon, down we go!

Talking about the footy as they roll out our footy casket, well, some denial seems appropriate atm.

At least understandable psychologically.

The graveyard of the nrl, we come across our tombstone:

Wests Tigers buried here, died from a broken heart 2022.
