Adam Doueihi #227

Doueihi had a shocking game but let's not give up on him just yet. He's not a complete player. Lots of flaws in his game. Put him next to Hastings, Brooks, and a second rower who can make all of his tackles and he can shine.

Although I can't excuse his defence at the moment. His first contact is atrocious. He doesn't hit and stick, more like miss and let them stroll through.

Okay. How much do you pay him. He is already on something like 600k. He isn't worth that or anywhere close to it.

I don't see any other option for us next year but he has to play in the halves because to me we have better options in the outside backs.

I wouldn't be looking to resign him now.

What I hate even more is that he's one of these guys that goes around claiming to be the heart and soul of the team and passionate about the club and everyone needs to commit and I'm so good I can name my position and I have to be 5/8 because I'm so great. He's a liability. He's crap. He's worth $150k to sometimes sit on the bench.
 
To be fair to AD, (IMO)he isn't a crap player, He's just a crap 6. A really really crap 6.

Center or nothing for him. Hell maybe even get him to put some size on and get in the forwards. When he runs hard and straight he makes decent meters.
 
We are going to be cellar dwellers for the next 4-5 years. I honestly can’t see a way out, $78m facility isn’t going to entice anyone. Players don’t want to be high paid losers, would you?

What the strategic plan is, nobody knows. It does start at the top, but these roots of loser mentality is deep. This is the saddest day I have been with this club since Taylor sacked Farah, and the administration let it happen. 36 years supporter and fan.

Is he really a centre. He can't tackle. He isn't quick. I honestly think Kepaoa, To'a and Naden are better at centre.

We have better options in the centres. I'd play him at 6 but I'd be looking to recruit or develop better players. Same as Brooks.

These guys can lead us over the next few years on lower dollars. If other clubs want them let them go.

One of the hardest positions to defend and he can't do that as it is...
