This year might've create a whole new level of unhinged for the supporter base, but it's helped produce some solidarity and has been a little validating that no coach, individual player or carefully constructed plan will get us out of trouble alone.
A soft forward pack, inadequate backs (for the speed of the game) and halves unable to take ownership of the team (and control of the game) is unfortunately a team deserved of the wooden spoon.
My highlights was the Easter Monday miracle, with the effort from the Cowboys game a close second. But if I've learned anything it's that we're just not coming together as a team and our consistency is terrible for an NRL team. Surprisingly there was fight in us when not expected but not enough leadership.
I can forgive the mistakes and poor efforts from the inexperienced players and believe Doueihi or Laurie crumbling under a pressure is symptomatic of our deficiencies.
Tbh I'm relieved it's coming to an end.
