Maybe we can get away with suggesting we loan Papa out to Parra mid season to save some cap money if the next year is looking like it’s all belly up again.
Why stop at Papa, might as well do that with all our guns. We can keep saving cap money until we have recruited enough players with a loan until competitive clause is no longer required. Maybe by 2027 we have assembled a team ready for a premiership.

Api, Papalli are a big start to get this team better. Arguably they are the best players in their position. The other player out there that suits Sheens game plans is Matt Lodge he’s easily the best ball playing prop in the game. Has bad history but I’d swoop on him to provide a forward leader and replace Tamou.

I would have said no a year ago, but jeez he has added something to the Roosters. Yes from me now.

No chance of that happening because it's Sheens rear end on the hot coals next year and he will not want any criticism of his coaching,however if he can sacrifice somebody else to take the heat off him it is a different matter

Of course you do realize that there is only a very remote chance that he would ever consider returning here, but assuming that he did, it would only be a matter of time before this forum went into melt down and Mat Lodge would be known as Fat Bludge.

Interestingly, since moving to Bears/ Chooks, Gildart’s defence has been outstanding. Missed only 1 tackle in 3 games. Also scored 5 tries.
Showed plenty of pace, coming from a long way to run down Cody Walker in the last few minutes.
It’s almost a given that players improve by going to another team, but what happens when they return?
