2023 Forwards

Twal is a funny one, easily in our 17 and at times our best prop when he runs hard. Had a few weeks earlier this year in plod mode. Our fortunes next year depend on guys like him and Stef running hard, Pole looks special as he has footwork and can just put the head down too.

I'm off Musgrove and think we're two props short, scary we have at least one genuine starter still missing in front row and 2nd row.

If WT could get two quality metre eating props the rest of the forwards including Paps and Koroisau would all look so much better.

Musgrove along with Peachey have been huge let downs. Hope Peachey goes back to Penrith and Musgrove lifts his game or plays State Cup.

It is very scary when people (including myself) are putting in Blore as a starter,he has barely played since he arrived and is basically only getting picked on potential and sitting N.Brown on his rear.We need to improve massively to be a respected pack let alone a good one
He's been injured a lot but completely wrong to say he hasn't done anything. In the brief stint he had on the field he proved to be an excellent dominant defender, not just one hit on Brown but quality in most of his tackles. Made a noticeable difference to our edge defence and will be an excellent starter if he can stay on the field.

8. Stefano Utoikmamu
9. Api Korisau
10. Payne Hass
11. Isiah Papalili
12. Shawn Blore
13. Jackson Hastings

14. Fa'amanu Brown
15. Fonua Pole
16. Joe Ofahengaue
17. Alex Twal

One signing and instantly our pack looks competitive.... get it done Sheens

Then look at bringing in Liam Martin the following season

Even when WT won the 2005 Grand Final you would have to say it was not the best forward pack in the comp but they did their jobs.

Three WT front rowers scored tries in the Grand Final (Laffranchi, Gibbs and Payten)
Maybe to avoid the nudie run

I think some of our plodders will go up a gear with Api and Paps if we jag a couple of wins early. Seeing you can compete makes you want to be better. Losing only drives you into the ground and is demotivating. I can see Stef and Twal improving a lot if we can get a reasonable start.

Need to go over to the islands and shake a couple of trees.
Surely there's some big bad hard running mofos who would like a chance.
Need some angry forwards that Cam can lead

More fantasy football....
You seen the Price tag of Payne Haas?
- Not top mention his shitty me first attitude.

He's not even worth mentioning....
Lucky to be in the top 10 props in the game the last part of the season.

How is it fantasy football when he has asked for a release and seems to be moved on this year?

The salary cap is expected to be increased and tbh I'd pay Payne Hass around 900k-1mil he's the best prop in the game imo idk how anyone can make an argument he's not in the top 10... his go forward and even work rate in defence would be massive for us and give Papalili and Korisau an extra hand in the middle.

He's very gettable as well, will go whoever offers the most money as a 22 year old who has just had his first child I think we should defs make a push.

Brisbane have been a shambles since Bennett left and it's clear Hass wants out as it's not a club players want to play unders for like they use to be, his last game of the year he gave his team this so don't know if he has been as bad as you're claiming:

17 runs for 205 meters
2 offloads
3 tackle breaks
27 tackles

For someone so big and destructive with his running game, yet such a tidy and sharp defence with a 97% tackle rate would be huge. We need to be competitive and aggressive in the market... Hass is 22 btw he's only going to get better and giving him a partner in Stef could be our starting front row and could lay a platform for our team for the next decade.

Btw a pack with Hass, Papalili, Korisau, Stefano with our young forwards coming up too, with our new facilities and somewhat of a respectable coaching staff with figures like Sheens and Benji. Our club could be a club players might want to play at...... or we can sign Andrew Fifita instead and forever keep this cycle of not being competitive for another decade

Strictly watched Api closely tonight.

Smoothly guiding the side around the park, solid in defense.

This guy is going to be a genuine gun for us if reasonably hungry.

Cleary will miss him.

Where in your fantasy league are you getting a million dollars for a bloke that doesn’t play a full game?

Reminds me when woods was the best prop in the game - no one was scared of him….

I don’t care what his stats say - he’s got nothing on James fisher Harris….
I’d also bet JFH ain’t on a mill a year!!

Just FYI - million dollar players don’t let a top 4 side miss the 8 a month out from finals…,

If we can’t get Haas, chase his mother. She shows more agro than anyone else in our pack.

Our Pack -Steph -yes big tackle buster but always injured .our best if fit
-Api - great hope coming for more than the money
- vacant - big mobile front rower needed .none on the books
-Papalii - great hope he's coming
- Blore - complete unknown after long injury lay off
-Joffa - hard worker high tackle count ,doesn't bend line or offload
- Twal - ditto
- NuBrown - sort of ok bench utility
- Rua - just my gut feel he's got something
Sorry IMO - Musgrove ,Pole , Freebairn , Dias , Matamua not Ist grade standard ,undersized but maybe Pole and Matamua eventually
So at minimum we need a top class front rower and edge 2nd rower
