Our Pack -Steph -yes big tackle buster but always injured .our best if fit
-Api - great hope coming for more than the money
- vacant - big mobile front rower needed .none on the books
-Papalii - great hope he's coming
- Blore - complete unknown after long injury lay off
-Joffa - hard worker high tackle count ,doesn't bend line or offload
- Twal - ditto
- NuBrown - sort of ok bench utility
- Rua - just my gut feel he's got something
Sorry IMO - Musgrove ,Pole , Freebairn , Dias , Matamua not Ist grade standard ,undersized but maybe Pole and Matamua eventually
So at minimum we need a top class front rower and edge 2nd rower

Joffa was top 20 in the comp for offloads.

Just FYI - million dollar players don’t let a top 4 side miss the 8 a month out from finals…,

JFH would be on around 800k I believe, if you put Hass in that Penrith system he’d be better than JFH but it’s all just opinions I guess

We need someone who can bend the line and I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever seen a Hass run not bend the line

With the salary cap going up and our need for some aggression in our pack, I think Hass is exactly what we need….

Could help all our young forwards stay beyond current deals - Papalili and Stef included

We're extremely reliant on injured players making a full and quick rehabilitation from quite major injuries. The depth for next year is going to be tested from the outset.
Would only take Lodge on match payments ( $20,000 per game, gives him $500,00 if he plays a full season, gives us a get out if his form or behaviour goes bad ). I don't mind giving someone a chance but I can also understand those that don't want him at the club.

Just because the salary cap goes up - doesn’t mean there much more money.
(Especially to buy a prop that wants 1 mill)
It just doesn’t work like that.

Minimum wages will also go up I’d expect,
current salary’s tied to the cap also go up.
There’d be players signed who’s wages increase as a standard with a presumed cap increase.

Haas can play - but he’s not the player we need… especially now.
He’s barely been out of the headlines for the last 3-4 years…
Not that we’re much of a chance anyhow you’d think

agreed. none of those forwards strike fear in the opposition. need a leniu/leota/jwh type enforcer in the front row to take it to the opposition if we're getting pummeled. the cats we have will just roll over and present.

I think some of our plodders will go up a gear with Api and Paps if we jag a couple of wins early. Seeing you can compete makes you want to be better. Losing only drives you into the ground and is demotivating. I can see Stef and Twal improving a lot if we can get a reasonable start.

Injuries and momentum is the key.
If they can jag a few wins early in the season who knows what can happen.
But to be competitive for a finals spot we need to find another 10 wins during the season.
Just don't see that in the squad we have. Don't think we will come last though.

Api will make a huge difference, but agree he needs better cattle around him. Pole charging into a gap Api creates should be a winner.

I also think you will get Talau on the bench instead of Seyfarth to cover the backs.

We're short aye.
Not a balanced pack and depth is a bunch of kids.

Hopefully some work being done behind the scenes to address this.

Big job to expect Api & Papz to carry and mentor them all on their own.

I'd take Sua from the Dragons and some decent prop, a Christian Welch type.. not sure who that'd be though.

This is what I reckon. If they play to their potential and we get basically no injuries they'll go okay. They won't be great but it might work.

Hastings at 13 means we lack go forward. Is it worth it ?

Injuries will kill us.

I still reckon the spine is more of a mess.
