It's not just about us, if the NRL were to allow paps to back out of this deal it creates a situation where players can sign a contract as a negotiation tactic. Sign a contract with a new club and use that as leverage to get a better deal at your current club.

It also allows players to sign a contract as insurance against injury or poor form. If your form improves or your current club finds more money renege and sign with them after guaranteeing your salary with your backup contract.

-is he coming YES he's signed binding contract
- does he wish he hadn't signed it YES as Parra upped their original offer

Why do the media keep beating on about this ?

1. He signed a contract with the Tigers, No get out clause due to coach etc. even if he doesn't want to be here he will have to honour or sit out 3 years or go back to NZ on compassion

2. Sheens is in charge, he has said Isiah will be at the tigers next year, Sheens is stubborn and an old head cant see him just letting Isiah leave.

3. He is playing in the semi's for the Eels, there is no reason for him talk about next year at all TBH even if he doesn't give us an answer that we like.

If he turns up for pre season he turns up, if he doesn't then good luck to him trying to justify why he wants out of his contract with WT, club has to show some back bone on this one.

But champion @Cultured_Bogan, there's no reason yet to react from the club's perspective.
Contract is binding and any action by WT would only be necessary if the terms of the contract were contravened.

The only choice available to him is to play for the Wests Tigers.

If he pulls a stunt like not turning up to pre-season and the relationship becomes untenable, the NRL should issue a ban for the length of his contract and give us the cap space back.

I’m sure this negative media attention has contributed to our recruitment woes to some degree.
