I would love to see someone list our 2023 roster as it stands just now
It can't be anywhere near 30 .I hope it doesn't get padded with those NSWcup players that were tried out in 1ST grade this year without success . The lightweight forwards especially .Remember we conceded 31 tries in our last 4 games .Our pack was steamrolled . I know we subtract Madden Liddle,Luciano ,Garner, Kelma and Tamou and Mikhalae and add back Api and maybe Papalii but not sure who's in our 2023 top 30 roster

At the rate Sheens is losing players and not replacing them we will have about 5 players at the club when training starts and that is in all grades

Based off the official contracted list we have 22 spots filled for next year now leaves us 8 spots.

I know they want to free up a heap of cash for 24 but it's not looking great at all for next season.
No wonder Papa want's out. He can't do it himself.

Yep & that’s the formula. JH hybrid lock / half’ organiser, Brooks 7 AD 6 both playing running 5/8 role each side of the ruck .

First time was looked half-decent for a long time is when we had the three together.

I don't understand how/why Marshall will be able to attract players? I think any connections to players he may be able to call upon are massively overstated.

We have to remember all those 5 to 10 year kids that watched and wanted to be like Benji doing all those funky side steps, goose steps, no look cut out passes and flick passes .. are now in their 20's. He will still have pull attraction on players .. especially if Tim, Benji and Robbie can inject some flare and free flowing footy back into the Tigers .. !!

I'm sure we all loved the way Benji played back in 2005 .. so let's give Benji the coach a fair shot at this and trust in him like we did back 2005 .. !! I for one am excited to see what he and Robbie can bring to our club in both attack and defence .. !!

Think it was buzz's best guess some time ago 900k 2022 1100k 2023 ,I presume 2020 2021 were lower 700k but not sure

I apologise for getting a bit shirty with you posting that $1.1m figure, just am pretty sure that it is much inflated. Especially so when Maguire is supposed to have wanted that extra season put on an already negotiated deal, so it doesn't make any sense, even with our WT management's history.

I know it was a big deal and in fairness to Madge Brooks was Dally M halfback around this time . I also seen Brooks interview a few months ago where a reporter questioned him about being a million dollar player and he smiled and said if someone offers you that deal who wouldn't sign
Which I thought was logical

For sure , greatest trick play in brooks playbook was 2018 Dallym half back and signing a 5 year dollary-doo deal in 2019

That's what I'm afraid of .Apart from the nuffies you refer to I don't think the likes of Dias ,Freebairn , Puaga shouldn't be in there also . I also forgot JTJ is another subtraction from this year's list . If they are serious about a 1st grade roster cant even be 20 . I'm willing to include Pole and Rua and maybe Matamua. Wish they would publish the list
