One home ground

Maybe the ones that do live there are the ones that go...and the excess that is the extra patronage that LO sees, are the ones that dont go
There’s more than 10000 people that live in the MacArthur region I know a bunch of Tigers fans that live that way and they don’t go to the games when they come. Some fans just can’t be bothered to go that live there. The ones stopping the club from moving out that way are the MacArthur people themselves. Get the attendance up than maybe the club might move that way but no point whinging when the people that live there are stopping the club from making the move because they can’t be bothered to support the team.

Strong argument ... You know a bunch that don't go... I reckon we all here could say that... I personally know fans from concord and Ryde that are the same... The way the teams been playing who'd wanna go pay watch em?

The club needs to do more to promote themselves out west !!! The magpies just won the Harold Matts & the Campbelltown region is like a gold mine for young talent. I'm not saying to play all the home games there but having our home ground as the SCG doesn't really establish any identity for us which we are solely lacking, the SCG will always be viewed as Easts & South's home ground not the Wests Tigers. 8 games at Campbelltown 4 games at Leichardt imo.
Keep hearing about it being a great growth area yet games played at Campbelltown are amongst the worst attendances of any ground used in the entire competition?

Neither Leichhardt nor Campbo are in good enough nick for us to pledge anything long term. Both need upgrades in terms of basic facilities, let along corporates and the like. Corporate $$ is huge in this day and age, and we're being left behind by our peers in that sense.
Until the govt/councils are able to make good on vague promises and actually upgrade either ground, we should be at the SFS or Homebush for the majority of our fixtures.

No issue with a one-off game at Tamworth. I actually think the NRL should make every club take a game to a regional area every season.

It is still more about which corporates would be happy to entertain clients there etc.

The corporate dollar is the main determining factor - and the big end of town has no interest in establishing a significant footprint in the Macarthur region.
Where does your information come from that the big end of town has no interest etc?

I would be more than happy with 1 home ground regarless of where it is, CS, LO, Lismore. As long as it's east coast. (Sorry WA fans)
We are scattered all over the place.
To me a home ground is where you can build from the grass roots up.
Just because we go to a place, say Lismore, doesn't mean we forget or lose our past.
Put it this way, if we played somewhere different to LO or CS from 2005 I doubt that this topic would get much forum time. Eventually kids growing up going to the one ground wouldn't care too much. They would care about an army of white, black and gold out numbering the opposition at the home ground and having a good time.
All teams play at the big grounds anyway. Just because we have so many home games doesn't mean we are going to play them at home.
A very debatable topic that upsets both tiger and magpie fans alike.
I'll leave it there, I don't want to get in trouble again 🙂
this post almost makes it seem lile you are attempting to not display suvh a strong bias to your balmain tigers since you became a forum leeder inthe interest of jv fan harmony

Parramatta have the perfect setup . Comm bank is a great stadium in the heart of Parramatta of all places .Right next door their huge leagues club .
Built and paid for by who ?
Helps to have clearly defined geography I suppose

RIP parra pools.

They're now building an aquatic centre on the Westmead Golf course. A lot of $$$ dollars going into Parramatta.

Coming up with a single home ground is very difficult for a club that's not a singular entity . LO and Campbelltown 60km apart . Govt comes up with
800 mill for a renovation to a ground that Roosters believe is personally theirs . 600 mill spent on Panthers ground .Parra comm bank god knows how much . Knights ,Storm ,Broncos ,Titans , Cowboys Raiders all have what is called stadiums .
Unless we adopt a major populace area eg Central Coast I think we are nomads like the rabbits and dogs .Better to share Accor or Comm bank

Surely the Roosters can't claim a monopoly on the SFS? We should be jumping in there. That or CommBank, get a foot in the door of these joints when they are new.

Yes commbank a good ground to watch , Just a bit strange tigers home ground in the center of Parramatta.

It is more to do with the facilities on offer IMO. We are never going to have an elite stadium built in WT territory so CommBank is the next best option.
The longer the club sits on its hands and stuffs around delaying a decision on our home ground, the more chance we are perennial nomads collecting wooden spoons for fun.
