There is no greater accolade than having your team-mates recognise your performance over the year. Laurie is one of our better players who has the potential to go much higher if he wants it.
You do understand we are a club coming off the wooden spoon and are extremely unlikely to sign a top line player like this at the age of 23.. If you look at klemmer stat's for this season he is one of the best forwards in the comp and defence is excellent..

On Klemmer there is a little bit of revision of history in relation to Matulino. I think Matulino was one of our best forwards when he was on the park plus he was medically retired at the right time.
I think we desperately need Klemmer because we released Musgrove.

Great post Earl. Matulino really put in for WTs when he was on the field. That pass in the final minutes against the Storm in Melbourne to win us the game was outstanding.

Have to agree with Earl. He was good on field , Klemmer will make a huge difference to us with go forward , Having him take one up , then Steph , then Papi , Joffa , Blore , would be great , Pole and Lenui on the bench ✔️
Yep. Matulino was a class player for years. He was routinely making 150m+ a game with plenty of quality offloads during his peak at the Warriors. Just got failed by his body when he came over.
Then Packer's problem was the money and the fact his heart wasn't in footy anymore mid-way through that deal - higher education and his future career had him with one foot out the door already.
Klemmer doesn't come with either of these issues (at least as far as I'm aware) and is a better player than both were at the time we signed them.

I agree with all of that Mautilino gave his best and will not get any criticism from me,one of the few Cleary got right
Matulino gave a shit and had a go. His body couldn't hold up.

That may be true, but there plenty on here who wouldn’t bat an eyelid if the club doesn’t resign him, so that accolade while amongst the players means something it doesn’t mean a whole lot when choosing the right people at the right stage of their career to join your club.
