Well why do so many average league players play international rugby almost straight after switching codes, the standard must be considerably lower in rugby

Sheens mentioned you get 7 chances to score during a game and you must convert 4 of those to win. Having wingers with genuine pace who can score from anywhere on the field maximises your chances. I've posted this before but watch at 3.16 - Sironen to Simona and then to Korobeite to score with non other than Thurston all over him. A brilliant try made possible through genuine pace in the centre and wing positions.

How could a club ever let go these types of people? Just crazy management..

I don't agree one little bit with you trying to turn this into a scientific debate or raising logical fallacies. None of your points made any sense whatsoever because those concepts aren't relevant to a discussion which is completely subjective.

This is a funny one right. Walker is the odd one out there. Those guys were great players in both codes but they definitely killed it in league easily as much as they killed it in Union. I'd even argue they were better in league than in Union.

Plus it was a while back.

You don't see as many players cross codes and make it now.

Koro more than made it though. He was a top tier union player.

I don’t know our juniors as well as @pawsandclaws1 but if they are worth their salt, they will welcome the challenge as, of yet they are unproven. Pretty sure they would take the same view.

Promising players with this attitude are the type we need to get back to the top.

Prima donnas that often think they have been hard done by, quite often don’t make it.

We are either running with Laurie as FB or moving him to 5/8 and putting Staines there. We probably only want to pay one lot of FB money, with other positions the priority in recruitment. Just a guess though.

I remember the JAC game against the broncos where he absolutely smoked everyone for a length of the field try. It was so clear then that he was a mega talent. How can a whole first grade football department miss it?

You might have hit the nail on the head for next season but why would they make a play for the following 2 seasons and not want him next year.

You'd think (and I know you love Brooks) that the club would let him go at full freight if he has signed elsewhere for the following 2 seasons.

We have no young outside backs realistically pushing for first grade next year. Dotoi still at least a year away. If Young does join then one of Nof or maumolo will leave.
