dint think there were many average league players to go overWell why do so many average league players play international rugby almost straight after switching codes, the standard must be considerably lower in rugby

How could a club ever let go these types of people? Just crazy management..Sheens mentioned you get 7 chances to score during a game and you must convert 4 of those to win. Having wingers with genuine pace who can score from anywhere on the field maximises your chances. I've posted this before but watch at 3.16 - Sironen to Simona and then to Korobeite to score with non other than Thurston all over him. A brilliant try made possible through genuine pace in the centre and wing positions.

Like Sailor, Rogers, Tuqiri, WalkerLike who ?
Look at the other Melbourne winger. He kiled it in League but they don't want him in union.
so let's just throw handbags at 10 paces and agree on a completely different topic in a couple of threads' time, eh?
Don't forget our man Curtis Rona....Like Sailor, Rogers, Tuqiri, Walker
Love the wallabies & west harbour

This is a funny one right. Walker is the odd one out there. Those guys were great players in both codes but they definitely killed it in league easily as much as they killed it in Union. I'd even argue they were better in league than in Union.
Plus it was a while back.
You don't see as many players cross codes and make it now.
Koro more than made it though. He was a top tier union player.
None of your points made any sense whatsoever because those concepts aren't relevant to a discussion which is completely subjective.I don't agree one little bit with you trying to turn this into a scientific debate or raising logical fallacies. If you don't want to discuss the topic just don't. I'm not going to keep going after you or anything stupid like that.
I couldn't give a toss.
I don’t know our juniors as well as @pawsandclaws1 but if they are worth their salt, they will welcome the challenge as, of yet they are unproven. Pretty sure they would take the same view.hey paws - you know our juniors pretty well. if we sign Dom Young, who do you think we can expect to leave the club?
I agree with Thaiger.hey paws - you know our juniors pretty well. if we sign Dom Young, who do you think we can expect to leave the club?
Wrong guy mate.. I have not said we are signing anyone and only comment on others saying we are. I do like to ask for updates though on rumours that have been posted 🤣 pretty keen on good news like othersIt's all love jonesey I'm just
Kidding with you my guy 😝
Next year probably 24 probably will see Brooks added into that spine. Gamble ain’t gonna be a long term 7 no matter where he plays.newcastle are looking more and more like
1. Garrick
6. Ponga
7. Gamble
I agree. He’s someone I would like to sign plus good goal kicker too.How are we not in the mix for Garrick if he is released by Manly? Looks signed and sealed to the Knights. What are the numnuts at WT thinking?
We are either running with Laurie as FB or moving him to 5/8 and putting Staines there. We probably only want to pay one lot of FB money, with other positions the priority in recruitment. Just a guess though.I agree. He’s someone I would like to sign plus good goal kicker too.
He had already signed with Melbourne by the time he debuted, in round 5 I think it was.I remember the JAC game against the broncos where he absolutely smoked everyone for a length of the field try. It was so clear then that he was a mega talent. How can a whole first grade football department miss it?
Unforgivable
can they afford Brooks?Next year probably 24 probably will see Brooks added into that spine. Gamble ain’t gonna be a long term 7 no matter where he plays.
can they afford Brooks?
think he may stay at weets tigers yet
We have no young outside backs realistically pushing for first grade next year. Dotoi still at least a year away. If Young does join then one of Nof or maumolo will leave.hey paws - you know our juniors pretty well. if we sign Dom Young, who do you think we can expect to leave the club?
