I don't believe people that state the following points are reasonable:-
1. That Florida handled the pandemic well.
2. That Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon won the last US election.
3. That there is no war in Ukraine.
These are all extremist and quite clearly delusional opinions that have no place within our society.
So Earl,if someone did think that DeSantis handled the pandemic well,especially that he had an overwhelming win in the last election,its your opinion that should be noted and others are extremists...
If some one suspects that there may have been fraud in Trumps election and voices that as a free person they are also by your opinion extremists...
If some one shares that Putin is cleaning out a corrupt country and freeing its country from Azov Nazis that are killing their own people then in your opinion they are extremists...

The extremists do not engage in constructive rational discussion. A rational conversation requires facts and then discussions that are reasonable.
The debate on here about abortion summed up the issue to me. There is a middle ground where rational people can discuss issues however the extremists continue to make this issue about something that it isn't about.
Interestingly the point you make about constructive conversation is exactly the problem with extremist right wing conspiracy theorists of which you are a part. You mightn't be as rude as most of them but you still fail to debate in good faith because you continue to create a false reality.

Right side politics in Australia is suffering because of a lack of decent media. And apart from the Guardian which at least provides details with a heavy slant other left wing media is pathetic, including the ABC which was my favorite which now focusses on marginal issues.
With the cold war coming up it's going to get worse I'm afraid.

If I evaluate a particular situation say in Ukraine,I look at what the main cause of that problem is and try to have a conversation on what the best outcome would be..facts are Ukraine is a corrupt country which the Clintons,Obammas,Bidens,Pelosis and Kerrys have made lots of money from,why would they take such an interest in a country like Ukraine if it didnt have benefits to them...?FTX could be the answer to that question..all easily found within the internet...

Interesting. This is not one of the right wing extremist clearly illogical type of points that are often made on here.
There isn't enough information in that article for me to judge the situation as well as what I'd like but I don't like the idea of China buying into various schemes and if it goes bad they end up owning whatever they invested in. They could end up owning critical infrastructure.
