He was told he could look elsewhere a while ago , but been going good in preseason and not going anywhere , so yeah champ not been tapped on the shoulder at all

I don’t understand why we would move him at this stage anyway. He is the only option at hooker with NRL experience other than Api, and through a season you are going to need 3 at least.

a lot of players play good in KOE but fail to translate it to first grade

Because thats where he belongs KOE….4 coaches have tried and failed with him…we can and will do much better than this guy

To my mind, there is no shame in trying, and not succeeding. This happens all the time. Our direction and attitude , is good, and that's all that matters!

Maybe Kyle should join his Father at Rainbow Sea Eagles as DCE would not have many years left.

DCE turns 34 in February 2024.

Josh Schuster also has never played NRL as a 5/8 and might not succeed so a backup plan maybe required.

On Manly's official website (which I know is not always accurate) there is no five eight named and only DCE as half back. Schuster still listed as a second rower.

Thanks for your input buddy. Hope his training form translates to more game time in the top 17. Time will tell, eh.
