Seibs, what are manly thinking? 😅
I'm hoping it all goes to shit at parra and Arthur gets the punt.

Ha ha your right.
I just want our backs to do well, regardless of who plays.
I'm hoping Sheens has unearthed a superstar in Feledly and he plays later in the year and kills it.
My concern is our backs can't play like they have done...saying it was the forwards fault is a cop out. The backs were dreadful to say the least.
We have to come up with a "breath of fresh air"
Sheens is keen to see if his style of coaching, along with benji, can reignite Brooks' game imo.
I think the contract talks with him and AD were put on hold because of Moses. If this falls through, Sheens will most likely show his hand for both AD and Brooks.
I think he will wait, as long as he can, He would have a backup plan, if Moses stays. He has already shown his hand,by offering big dollars for MM. He knows we need a quick and crafty player in the halves, it's a MUST. Benji, and Stuart were the foundation of his winning sides, and like all top sides , ordinary does not cut it ! Much will happen in the new year, but i can't see any of our current halves getting a pay increase, unless a 30% increase in performance happens, It can happen, maybe one will make it, at least i hpoe so

Scenario....forwards killing opposition right up to 7 rounds to go and our centres combinations are hideous.... meanwhile big, fast and awkward Feledly is absolutely killing it in lower grades and soon to turn 19.
He's ready to go and we're sitting on the edge of the 8. 🤔

I was thinking, what are the classic Sheenus things that we would see in 2023.

Klemmer, Pappaii, Bateman: all becoming great NRL centres and scoring tries.
Commentators saying "we haven't seen that play since 1945."
Each team copying Melbourne, meanwhile tigers playing a hybrid of Touch footy and Grid iron.
Our volatility as a team increases!

The ability to beat any team in the comp... Unless their the wooden spoon (I want to make this into a WT bumper bar sticker.).

The last round of 2023 possibles;-
Fullback - Stains, Laurie.
Halves- Brooks, AD, Laurie, Moses, Smith, Reilly, Api,
Wingers and centres-AD, Kepoa, Naden, Stains, Laurie, Nofa, Big Ken, To'a, Feledy, Tupoa.

Feledy,Tupou, Naden,Kepoa, and Stains all hit top form, A nice dream !

I know we had a tough time last year, but I really believe that we are going to improve this season.

First of all, we have a new coach who is bringing in a lot of fresh ideas and strategies. I think this is going to make a big difference in how we play. Additionally, we have a lot of new players who are really talented and are going to add a lot of depth to the team.

I also think that we all learned a lot from last season and are going to be more focused and dedicated this year. We've been working really hard in training and are determined to succeed.

Overall, I'm really optimistic about this season. I think we have the talent, the coaching, and the determination to make a big improvement.

Best, Playboy

Benji to front 50% of press conference
Do you agree Red?
I would imagine if Sheens has had ample time to brief/debrief Benji before he does the interview then I'm ok with that.
What we don't want with for Benji to front up unprepared and cuffing it.
It would good experience for him to do some interviews and he has done some media work since he retired too.

How do you prepare when you dont know what will be asked....

The Head coach should always be at the presser...avoiding them without good reason just leads to speculation
Usually best for head guy to do it, but if they’re in the box together and Sheens goes with it, shouldn’t be a problem.
Maybe Sheens will start the year and possibly introduce Benji spasmodically later on, or maybe not.
Another thing we’ll have to wait and see.
So much to look forward to this season !
