Why is a team in Cincinnati Ohio named after the Bengali Tigers?
Paul Brown founded the Bengals after being fired by the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati had a team in the 1930s called the Bengals, so it was named after that team, but the High School that Paul Brown attended and later coached was also called the Tigers so it had that link as well.

Interestingly Paul Brown chose the exact same shade of orange that the Cleveland Browns used.

Funny enough the Cleveland Browns were named after Paul Brown, though that team eventually moved and became the Baltimore Ravens, with a new Cleveland Browns reentering the NFL a number of years later. The New Cleveland team was allowed to adopt the records of the old Cleveland Browns team,
