If talks are continuing & people are meeting face to face then it’s sounds like it’s still game on
Re the $7m over 5yrs so $1.4m per year all the talk prior was that included 3rd party deals, if that’s the case then he won’t be getting $1.4m on the cap.
People have also said if someone throws a $7m deal its a no brainer just sign it. It is if everything is actually arranged and signed from the offer side. There has been a constant with the talks that 3rd party deal’s weren’t actually locked in from both ours and parra side mixed with the cba could be why everything has taken a longer time than expected.
People have said don’t get MM at that price because he won’t win a GF. Who knows if that will come true or not but our team with MM we have a higher chance of being in a position to contest for one than the current alternative options contesting for 9th spot does. I do agree $1.4m is overs for Mitch especially knowing we are going to need cap room for some of the best juniors going around if Sheens is right but reports are the cap over next few years is going to continue to increase unless the CBA offsets the increases into off field support costs hence why the CBA & 3rd party deals is important in such a big deal.
