Team List
Very keen to see these players in action tomorrow night. Happy with the team list and it will be interesting to see the style of footy we play. Only other player I would have liked to see get a run would have been Kitione Kautoga.

1 more sleep until the 1st game day for 2023!

Oh true that’s no good a lot of people had big wraps on him ay. He did the same last year to didn’t he? Or he’s knee perhaps. Do u know if we have him on a contract of sorts I couldn’t see anywhere that he was
Has has a very injury plagued career so far.
Might’ve been the shoulder the year prior.

Played decent in the world cup.
@KingRobbie Might know more about contracts, he'd be on a SG Ball contract probably.

Played 3 mins off the bench last year, made an error and seems to have been cut as his profile has been deleted from the website. Looks like he will join the elusive list of one game for WT.

Noddy really botched his debut, poor bloke.
His profile is still up there and he is on a Development Contract in 2023. @KingRobbie mentioned that he thought Kautoga among a few other players were in the NSW Cup Trial on Saturday and therefore resting for this upcoming trial in NZ.

Another St Joseph’s College boy if I am not mistaken. In addition to Housten and Reilly, plus the recently departed Henry O’Kane. A good pipeline to be tapped into. Hopefully at least one of them goes on to be a regular first grader for us.
Interesting Joeys story from my nephew, who went there, many years ago.
During footy season when having dinner on Saturday night, the boys get to watch a video of the First XV from that afternoon.
The old Chinese water torture trick to get into your brain. Must work coz they keep rolling out good players.
I think Holy Cross similar. Good, old fashioned Catholic education,And please, no snide remarks !

And while I’m at, another good story concerning my nephew aged about 14.
Joeys were playing the Kings School( strong all boys school) at home and my nephew was drawn to attend as part of the cheer squad ( they take it in turns).
He came over to say hello before the game and then at half time. Only this time he had a shiner on his eye.
I asked what happened and he said that they were having a verbal joust with the Kings boys when my nephew said “ Good news, Kings is going co-ed next year, they’re going to let boys into the school”, with that one of the Kings boys smacked him in the eye.
Well I thought it was funny !

Learned something that day

Does this mean To'a and Naden likely start in the centres round 1?
no. Talau hasn't played in over a year. needs as many minutes as he can get to ensure he's right to go round 1. To'a is injured. AJ might even get the jump over Naden on the left from what I saw of him at the open session.

out of all the players in the side, Jahream Bula is the one I look forward to seeing the most. supreme athlete that has been praised incessantly by Sheens through the pre-season. Matamua at 13, Pole in the back row, Tupou and Scolari on the wings, Feledy in the centres and Fa'agutu through the middle will be intriguing viewing also.
