Although, despite the hype around Bula, which I’m waiting to see, he was basically not getting any opportunities. Catch the ball, bring it back etc. Assume, like a lot of flashy backs, needs some team momentum to really shine.
Can’t wait to see some of that.
I read a lot on here, I tend to not have an opinion if I have no idea what’s happening. My point being is, I value everyone’s opinion, I’m just getting tired of the back and forward abuse about each others intellect solely because it differs to the other persons opinion. It was great to come here and hear rumours and facts about certain players etc… now it’s all about how much smarter than other person they are.
It’s the off season, I get it. But chill mate. They aren’t 100% correct, and neither tare you, but get over yourself and stop the Bs name calling. You’re better than that, and I know this from reading your previous posts when there has been legitimate subjects to talk about. That’s all I’m saying.
Maybe they didn't want to play with the weak squad just like we couldn't find a coach willing to take them on. Your bias can swing it any way you want. Any good player or coach who commits to us at the moment does so with risk.

Ok, there’s an opinion, well presented and forthright, as is your right on a forum and I’m good with that. I agree with a lot of it.
I’m here to discuss football with like minded people. Most of my friend circle hate the game with a passion. Whenever I mention it, I am quickly stonewalled. That’s why I post a lot on forums like this. We share a passion, however our differences as human beings will always spark conflict.
Take the first trial. Roughly half the forum were disappointed/ cranky with the effort and what they saw, voicing their displeasure strongly. The other half mocked them. Instant conflict, instant debate. It’s what the forum is for.
You said you like the rumours portion of the forum. Others, including me despise it, conflict/debate.
I can tone down the name calling for sure, but I won’t tone down the arguing/debating of points I feel strongly about as I know there are others on here who think differently and will present a counter very quickly. That’s the engagement I’m here for.
At the start of last year i tipped him to play SOO, that's what i thought of him, he just missed out. Flat foot Freddie couldn't pick his nose.
Hodgson was a risky signing, past his best and now going through the injury phase that happens in a big career.

Surely he’s one of the first picked for NSW this year ,granted he stays injury free.
What you say makes sense, the problem is the nsw coach and selectors don.t have any.
We lost games that were unlosable.
After that trial game I have reflected on how easy it is to get caught up and excited with all the pre season hype only to be thoroughly disappointed once things settle down and the season starts. Remember that every other team is out there trying to improve and doing the work just like we are, but we are starting that journey from a weaker base than most (all). Add in new players, new coaches, an untested spine and a poor “winning” culture/lack of confidence, and we need to be realistic about our chances to overcome.
I think we need to sit back and chill here and give the group some time to pull all this together. Be happy to see individuals try their best and put in 100% consistently and don’t get too invested early.

So sick of young players with potential, or has big wraps on him. Your not a good half until your 23+. All good having juniors or other teams young halves, but what we need is a genuine halfback that can play NRL tomorrow. So if we don't get Moses we need a like-minded player like George Williams

There's people like you going on with the 'everything matters' pov, expecting the best to always play and everything to be intensive and demanding. And if you do that and something goes wrong other people will complain that "it's just a trial, why are we taking it so seriously"?
Who is right? Both of you are. There's risk and reward in each.
I never said they shouldn't play their expected first team in the following trial. Of course they need a hit out and I would be worried if they don't get one next Sunday.
Yes, I have played a contact sport. Do you even lift? Contact or no contact, you don't want to go in cold just like you wouldn't want to wing a presentation at work, so I don't see what playing contact sport has to do with anything.
Far be it from me to tell you how to enjoy your footy but if you go at this pace you'll be exhausted by round 6.

haven't even played state cup, and a
few from SG ball. A center and a wing
partner that missed almost 3 years of
football between them (Talau/Scolari)
the rest were made up of fringies.
