Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Isaac Moses waiting until we extend Brooks before pulling the rug from under us and getting Mitch to re-sign with Parra.

Told us we needed to strengthen our forward pack to have any chance of signing Mitch (Klemmer and Bateman, 2 x Moses’ clients) and extend Brooks (another Moses client) because that was the big draw card for Mitch to come here.

Moses 2 Wests Tigers 0.

Nice conspiracy theory haha..
Tigers fans are glutons 4 pain

Easy fix….add a condition Moses will sign at the same time or Brooks’ contract can be terminated.

I assume Wests Tigers ideally want to see how well Brooks plays for preferably the first 10 rounds, to see if he can recapture his Dally M Halfback if the year form before deciding if wanting to re-sign him or not.
That would be the logical way to do it and if we miss out on MM as he’s not prepared to wait that long, than so be it.

Cheer up brother, it gets greater later ...
We're due 4 some joy after so much pain
It's not about cheering up I just don't think it's worth the energy it's like the Brooks bashing it's a waste of time

Would rather read someone's personal opinion on the juniors coming along

Also there use to be talk about the Tiger's community programs and helping kids out I don't see that anymore maybe the person's who posted the information left

We give Moses until 5pm Friday arvo and if he hasn't decided or communicated anything to us we withdraw our offer and start looking elsewhere. Too much money offered to someone who can't commit and obviously isn't that keen on coming here.

This club should not be held to ransom by any player or player manager. We sign who we want and let go of who we want. We don't sign Brooks because Moses wants him here.

Potentially leaving the club without an established half.

The club has set aside a significant amount of money in the cap for him. IMO forward planning would have necessitated an answer would have already been provided.

That is probably the most likely scenario here. I'm happy to be proven wrong but I really doubt he wants to come back here.

I'm pretty sure that was the thinking in 2017 with the big 4 and Ivan/Pascoe completely stuffed that up.

Sheens got the club to a wooden spoon last year and we are in no position to withdraw our offer, especially when there are no other $1M halves on the market.

Maybe our communication was part of the problem back then. The Club should clearly put a deadline on this (respectfully/clearly) and move forward (I cant see the issue with this). If Moses doesn't come, we will still survive and others will come to market and we know we will have plenty of $$ to play with.

To think he was Dally M halfback of the year ONCE in his career is baffling

Out of the 17 teams, I'm interested to know where you would place us, spine-wise.
IMO if this is our spine
1.Laurie
6.Douhi
7.Brooks
9.Api

With Api 11th
Without Api 15th
No consistency in our spine apart from Api. My hope is with a better forward pack they will improve out of sight. I'm not holding my breath though. I don't think Laurie is a fullback. Not sold on Brooks or Douhi at 7 or 6 either.
