Mitchell Moses #175

That’s my point, if it was just about the cash he would’ve signed with us.

It's not just about cash. It's about getting the best possible deal out of his current club and he keeps all his existing TPA's etc. So it's sort of about cash and we are just the back-up option if the money becomes so significant he can't knock it back.

He would keep his TPAs no matter where he played. TPAs aren’t linked to any club…….Apparently.

My take is the timeframe is the important part.
Parra went from 3yrs to 4yrs MO, he wants 5yrs.
We went 3yrs to 5yrs Player Option.

Based on Parra having a reported 4th yr MO the contract could be 3yrs so effectively we have a 2yr longer period.

It is clear he wants to stay at Parra but the length of contract/security is what he pushing for which is probably why we are keeping the contract open & it being an option.

Sooo... is it going to be announced during tonights coverage?

Would love for it to go into their season.

I think he has created a catch 22 situation and realises he is stuck somewhat.

He wants to win a premiership...but...his inflated salary will effectively mean he never will.

You do not win comps with a non elite half on 1.2 million plus. That salary costs you depth and the ability to add missing pieces. For that price you need a bloke who is going to drag you back into big games when you are down 12-0 early and keep the whole team calm. He has never done that.

They have lost 3 backrowers and their props are close to 30. That won't get it done. Their best shot was 2022 with a stack of underpaid forwards and depth. That is gone.

He will have to endure years of Parra fans blaming him for not getting them to the premiership, and deep down he'd know that.

His career trajectory will be very similar to DCE once he signs. A lot of 6th places and little semi final success.

DCE got lucky and got his GF win at the beginning of his career though. Moses never will.

If I was in a position to be a third party sponsor, there’s no way I’d honor it it if they’d left the club I support. Why else would you be a third party sponsor?
if you were tpa for Moses it would be in your interest to keep the sponsorship as all eyes will be on him with increased exposure if he changed clubs.
If the TPA was Parramatta BMW who cares if he signed with tigers it is all about getting photo opportunities next to a new car you are flogging, same bloke just different jersey

You still think he's coming ?

We all know TPAs are connected to a club. Some TPAs though are just after a player to flog their product or spruik their business and not necessarily be a fan of the club that particular player plays for.

Who would want a photo with Moses unless you are a parra supporter?

I guess my point is that why give a random run of the mill player anything unless you have an emotional attachment to them?

Moses is not a charismatic super star. He is fringe rep player with a maturity/attitude problem.
