Some Facts.......Not media spin.

Thanks for sharing the stats Tod P. Clearly there are some poor stats as well, such as error counts, set completions, run metres of our middles, ptb speed, line speed.
So, considering all the stats together, it seems to point to the fact that improvements in these latter aspects are absolutely necessary for the former ones to be of any value at all.
It shouldn’t be so hard to fix should it??
Surely the worst stat at the club is games won with Brooks at half?

People need to view the game in moments not stats. An NRL player once shared with me his philosophy (no doubt coached into him) that the game is about your next little job, and you can break that down into split seconds. Are Tigers players at all times thinking about their next job? They are not. If they were, Noffa doesn’t run sideways and backwards, Stefano jumps on that ball rather than trying to pick it up, somebody lays a line for Brooks, everyone chases AD’s bombs, Noffa doesn’t try and block a grubber with his body, this list could go on forever. There needs to be an attitude shift within our club, players need to earn their inflated wages by sacrificing themselves and doing what it takes in the moment. We are a club constantly trying to get there the easy way, and that has never worked in rugby league.
Very good thoughts BAGN! The game does hinge on many small moments and it is exactly why effort, desire and attitude win over everything else more times than not. I’d be happy if our team went out every week and played with 100% heart and effort for 80 mins.

After 2 rounds the Wests Tigers are:

4th in posession %
1st in line engaged
5th in line breaks
3rd in tackle breaks
2nd in all metres.
2nd in all runs.
3rd in dummy half runs
1st in offloads.

The only category we lag in is putting the ball down over the line.
We also are last in mental toughness of supporters who've been sucked in to a media narrative.

Damn Lies & Statistics! But you are right - we should have won both games but didn't - I feel a Bulldogs bashing about to happen. Their pack is weak (Kikau is lame) and there's no Pangai. Their halves are ordinary. They have an ordinary backline apart from the Fox who they never seem to feed. Then again I could be wrong.

I think the old saying rings true, “If it was that easy everybody would be doing it”

One of our problems is support play whenever we get a player gets a break no ones in support so it just ends up with them getting talked up a further up the field rather than a tryscoring opportunity fix that and our play in their 20 and our side will have some teeth in attack

He must be the only player who has ever won a Dally M with a 40% win rate.
He's not a halfback but Dally M Winner
Jack Wighton is at 49.55% from 222 appearances.

From what I could find, this fella had the lowest win rate.
Darrell Trindall 33.33%

Other Halfbacks:
Ashley Taylor 37.00 from 116 appearances.
Mitch Moses 49.50 from 200 appearances.
Ben Hunt 52.23 from 291 appearances.
DCE 53.52
Townsend 53.64 from 220 appearances.
Thurston 55.11
Johns 61.85
Cleary 69.06 from 139 appearances.
Cronk 70.97

Thanks for that. Is it possible to run the stats over the last 3 or 4 seasons, or maybe the last 74 games or something like that?

In all seriousness include Brooks at 6 as well because I think he has been playing as an edge running half (just like a 6) for a while. He might actually be statistically better at 7 than 6 which amazes me.
